The department

The endocrinology and nephrology inpatient ward 0842 at North Zealand Hospital Hillerød is a ward that provides highly specialized care and treatment of nephrology and endocrinology patients. We receive and treat both acute and elective patients within both specialties and also provide care and treatment of complex medical patients.

We are a department that prioritizes competence development highly and offer thorough introduction to both the endocrinology and nephrology specialties, including the possibility to participate in Region Hovedstaden's nephrology foundation course

The staff group

Common to us all is a strong professional and social commitment, as well as an interest in endocrinology and nephrology nursing.

We are an engaged and positive staff group consisting of nurses, social- and healthcare assistants and social- and healthcare helpers. The department has its own physiotherapists, a pharmaconomist and a dietitian who collaborate with the care staff around the patient’s course. Finally, the department has a fixed attached house assistant who helps with many of the practical tasks, such as meal distribution, restocking, etc.

We work across disciplines and place the patient and relatives at the center of our work.

When you become our new colleague, you will have the opportunity to build and strengthen a broad professional skillset in two exciting specialties. Your introduction program is 4-8 weeks long depending on your experience. The introduction and training will be adjusted continuously in cooperation with you, so that it matches your competencies, needs and wishes.

You have great influence on your own shift schedule, and the department aims for two-shift work if you wish.

In addition, we prioritize that 3 weeks of consecutive summer vacation are taken – also during the schools’ summer holidays.

We are seeking a social- and healthcare assistant who

• Is engaged, flexible and proactive
• Has clinical experience from a hospital setting
• Has completed the Region’s medicine course for social- and healthcare assistants - or an equivalent level of competence through the new education scheme for social- and healthcare assistants
• Is good at collaborating and maintaining a good atmosphere
• Is keen on a varied and dynamic everyday life with many colleagues
• Can keep an overview and is good at prioritizing today’s tasks – even when things are busy
