Are you ready for board games, Nintendo and nice afternoons?

Can you sense when there is energy for a trip out with the ball – and when a quiet afternoon with Nintendo or LEGO is the right thing? Then this 1:1 assignment might be something for you.

About the assignment

When the school day ends, you pick up a 10-year-old boy with autism and ADHD and follow him home. From here, your most important task is to sense which afternoon he needs.

Sometime there is energy to go out into the garden and play ball or come up with other active things. Other days the energy is used up after school, and then it can be better to bring out the Wii or Nintendo, build with LEGO or just slow down the pace. Occasionally there may also be some homework.

The boy is sweet and active and especially loves being outdoors. Therefore it will be a good match if you also think it is fun to be active and can take the initiative to do something you can do together. At the same time, you must be able to drop the plan again if you can sense that he needs something else that day.

There may also be opportunities for short trips together. The family has a car that can be used for the purpose.

About you

You have experience with autism and are used to reading a child's signals and needs.

We are looking for someone who can take the initiative and create a good afternoon without needing a fixed program. You can both start an activity and sense when it is better to slow down and follow the boy's mood.

It is an advantage if you have a driver's license, so you have the possibility to use the family car for trips.

Working hours

The position is on an average of 30 hours per month with about two fixed afternoons per week:

• Monday 13:15–17:00
• Thursday 14:00–17:00

Outside office hours there is always a staffed emergency phone, so you are never alone. Salary and pension in accordance with the National Agreement between FOA and Danish Business. You are covered by DUOS’ liability and work accident insurance and health insurance is part of your pension scheme.
