Are you a nursing student, then we have a relevant student job – ”Brobygger” in the Emergency Department, Kolding

We are looking for new Bridge Builders, as several of our current ones are finishing their nursing studies.

As a Bridge Builder you help the on-call doctor service and at the same time you perform independent nursing and treatment tasks for patients seen in the on-call doctor service. It is important that you can work independently and are keen on short patient pathways.

As a Bridge Builder your main focus is the patients' needs, and you also perform independent tests such as urine dipsticks, cultures, monitoring of vital parameters, tetanus vaccinations, wound care, etc.

As of 1-11-26, we also need 2 observation placements in the on-call doctor service for a project period.

These may be patients for taking blood samples, patients waiting for results, or awaiting effect of pain relief given by the on-call doctor service.

Working hours

Will be on weekdays from 17:00 – 23:00 and weekends/public holidays from 08:00 – 15:00 or 15:00 – 23:00.

There is 1 shift expected per week and a weekend shift every 3 weekends.

Public holidays are distributed among the Bridge Builders.

About the Emergency Department

The Emergency Department is organized into the Department of Acute Care and the Emergency Reception and we receive acute patients who come to Kolding Hospital.

The on-call doctor service is located at the emergency department entrance and is therefore close to the department – this is where you can seek sparring and get help when you have a shift.

• That you are a nursing student at least in the 4th semester
• Or that you are a trained social and health care assistant and are pursuing nursing education. Then you can take on the Bridge Builder role from 1st semester

• That you can prioritise your tasks and act consciously within your own area of competence
• That you are reliable
