The Establishment- and Terrain Command delivers customer-oriented facility management of properties and workplaces to the Danish Defence Ministry's approximately 20,000 employees. We handle construction projects, maintain Defence buildings and facilities, and work with energy, environment and nature management. You will become part of the Defence Staff's Finance Department, which is based in Hjørring in the Establishment- and Terrain Command's buildings, with about 45 employees. About the positions

A number of business controllers are sought for the Defence Staff's Finance Department in Hjørring. As an employee in the Defence Command's Finance Department in Hjørring you will be exposed to a broad range of tasks. You can look forward to an interesting and varied everyday life with many exciting and challenging tasks!

Your tasks range from preparing and following up budgets and holding financial meetings to supporting and advising the budget-responsible managers. In addition, you will have several interfaces and cross-functional collaboration within the Finance Department. Your concrete task portfolio will depend on your personal profile and interests.

Your main tasks in the job will be to

• Drive and run monthly financial follow-up meetings
• Help to create accurate budgets, forecasts, etc.
• Reporting on the current Defence appropriation
• Ensure that financial appropriations and frameworks are adhered to

About you

We imagine that you have a background as a business controller/partner, financial assistant/employee, or another relevant economic background. It would be advantageous if you already have experience in similar positions, but it is not a requirement.

If you already have experience with financial systems (preferably SAP) it would be a great advantage. In addition, you generally have broad experience with the Microsoft Office suite; you particularly master Excel. However, you will receive training in the systems so you are well prepared to take on the new tasks.

As a person you are cheerful and positive. You must be able to work independently, but also be able to master collaboration in teams. The most important is that you are curious and quick to learn – and have the willingness to take on new challenges.

Terms of employment

If you are an academic, you are employed under the applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of academic organizations for academics in the state (Academic Agreement).

If you have an office education or another relevant education you are employed under the applicable Joint Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organizations – The Public Sector (OAO-S Joint Agreement) and the organizational agreement for office workers, laboratory technicians and IT staff.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is a possibility for negotiating a supplement. There is an employer-financed pension scheme attached to the position.

As an employee in the Defence Ministry's area you are subject to certain special terms. You must, among other things, be security cleared and maintain the security clearance throughout the employment period.

You as an employee have a duty to perform service outside the country, including at units in international operations with a view to participating in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peace-enforcing, humanitarian and other similar operations.

About the Establishment- and Terrain Command

The Establishment- and Terrain Command (ETK) supports and serves military and civilian authorities under the Ministry of Defence. Our task is to deliver and develop attractive physical frameworks necessary for their daily work.

We build new, maintain, operate canteens and clean service locations across the country.

On behalf of the Defence Ministry's group, we are responsible for the green area, which includes environment, energy and nature conservation.
