Experienced educator sought for 1:1 work 4 - 12 hours per week, Køge

Do you have experience working with children and young people with special needs, and do you thrive in the close 1:1 work where relationship, safety and presence are central?

We are seeking a caring and experienced staff member for a 16-year-old girl who lives with her family in Køge.

You will be part of a fixed team around the girl and work with her 1:1 in the family's home. It is important that you have experience with children and young people with special needs, and that you are able to create calm, safe and predictable surroundings around her.

About the task

Your main task is to be present and create a safe and stable frame around the girl. You take as your starting point her needs, development level, mood and interests and support and guide her through the afternoon.

The activities are tailored to the girl and can, for example, be a trip to the playground, reading books, listening to music or doing other activities that she finds joy and security in.

The position also includes personal care, including diaper changes.

Working hours

The position is on 4-12 hours per week , depending on how many shifts you wish to take.

The shifts are on weekdays, and you can bid on one or more fixed weekdays.

The meeting time typically falls between 2:30 PM–3:30 PM , and the shift ends between 6:00 PM–7:30 PM , depending on the day.

There will also be a need for you to be able to take shifts during holiday periods.

About you

We envisage that you

• are educated as a pedagogue, teacher, SOSU worker, nurse or have another relevant professional background
• have experience with children or young people with special needs
• are calm, patient and strong in your relationship-building
• are able to meet the girl on her terms and adapt your approach to her needs
• work independently and take responsibility for the task
• can perform personal care, including diaper changes
• are stable and can see yourself in the role for a longer period so that a safe and continuous relationship with the girl and her family can be built.
