About the job

Are you organized, service-minded and good at creating an overview? And do you thrive in a varied everyday life where you make ends meet and remember the details we others forget? Then we have an important and meaningful job for you.

About the job and about us

At Rigshospitalet our vision is to benefit the individual patient and the entire health care system. This is also the starting point for our administrative work.

You will become part of a newly established center secretariat in HovedOrtoCentret. We are in full swing developing our tasks, workflows and forms of collaboration, and you will therefore join at a time when there is a need both to get day-to-day functioning in place here and now and to find good solutions for future needs.

The center secretariat's task is to support the center's management and departments with a professional, coherent and welcoming administrative service. You will have a broad range of contacts and an important role in ensuring that practical and administrative tasks are completed and that inquiries are followed through.

HovedOrtoCentret is one of Rigshospitalet's seven specialized centers with about 2,400 staff. We perform highly specialized treatment within, among other things, surgery, orthopedic surgery, ear-nose-throat care and eye diseases, as well as treatment of serious burn injuries. In addition, we work with research, education and international collaboration.

You can read more about the center on Rigshospitalet's website here .

Your tasks

You will have a diverse daily life with both fixed administrative tasks and tasks that arise along the way. Your tasks will include, among other things, the following:

  • Manage calendars and meeting booking for the center's management as well as ensure room booking, catering and goods procurement
  • Coordinate and respond to inquiries from managers and colleagues, including ensuring good handling of the center's shared inbox
  • Assist with the administrative tasks related to recruitment and hiring of new employees, e.g. creation of job postings and registration in relevant systems
  • Handle administrative tasks related to purchasing and orders, including in SAP
  • Contribute to developing good workflows and creating structure in the center secretariat
  • Assist with other administrative tasks when needed.

You do not need to know all tasks or systems in advance. We provide thorough training. The most important is that you are curious, want to learn and take responsibility to get the tasks done well.

Who are you?

We imagine that you thrive with administrative tasks and enjoy being the one who creates overview, follows up and helps others along.

We particularly emphasize that you

  • Work in a structured way and have a good eye for details without losing the overview.
  • Can plan and prioritize your tasks and stay calm when changes occur during the day.
  • Take responsibility, work independently and follow through on tasks.
  • Are service-minded, approachable and good at collaborating with different people.
  • Are curious and want to contribute to the development of the secretariat.

Your educational background is not decisive. Perhaps you have experience from an administrative function, a secretariat or a larger organization.

It is an advantage if you know the health care sector or have worked in a public organization, but it is not a requirement.

We offer you

  • An exciting position in the heart of the health care system, where your work helps center leaders and staff to focus on their core tasks.
  • A varied everyday life with both fixed tasks, new challenges and broad contact across the center and the hospital
  • Opportunity to shape workflows and task solving in a new center secretariat
  • A close collaboration with engaged colleagues and leaders in a large and meaningful organization
  • A good collegial community where we help each other, share knowledge and also remember to laugh together.

Salary and terms of employment

The position is 37 hours per week with the work location at Rigshospitalet, Inge Lehmanns Vej 8, 2100 Copenhagen Ø.

You will be employed according to the applicable collective agreement.

Contact and application

If you have any questions about the position, you are welcome to contact acting secretariat manager Jonas Stidsborg at phone 2420 8577.

We will of course treat your inquiry as confidential.

The application deadline is 16 November 2026. We expect to hold interviews on 20 November and hope that you can commence on 1 January 2027.
