Experienced leader for Holistic Care

Gribskov Municipality is seeking an experienced leader for Holistic Care, who will lead an organization with high ambitions for quality and coherence in elder care.

Holistic Care has since 2018 been under development as a municipal organization, and you will step into a leadership role where there is still a need to consolidate, prioritize, and set a clear direction.

As the leader of Holistic Care, you will be part of the center management and will be responsible for ensuring progress and development in an organization with several geographies and different local conditions.

About Holistic Care

Holistic Care in Gribskov Municipality works to create coherent and holistic citizen pathways across efforts and geographies.

The organization is distributed over four districts and provides 24/7 holistic care and operation of nursing clinics.

You will lead about 280 employees, approximately 1,400–1,500 citizens, and a leadership team consisting of 9 district leaders and a nurse professional leader responsible for cross-cutting and supporting functions. You will also lead a smaller administration of 3 employees.

Holistic Care is characterized by an ambition for coherence in citizen pathways and high quality across districts and disciplines.

About the position

As the leader of Holistic Care you have the overall responsibility for operation and development in an organization where you must create coherence across geography, professional disciplines, and management levels.

Holistic Care is organized across several districts where leaders and employees are not gathered in one place. A central task is therefore to further develop Holistic Care as one consolidated organization with a common course, cross-cutting collaboration, and strong follower engagement. You lead through a group of district leaders with different conditions, which requires you to balance a shared direction with respect for diversity and ensure that decisions are translated into practice.

A key part of the task is to strengthen the connection between quality, operations, and finances and create an overview in an organization where financial management is under development – while at the same time setting the direction for professional quality.

We are in the process of implementing new financial models, which entail a shared responsibility in the leadership team for prioritization, follow-up, and financial control. You will play an important role in setting the direction for the work and ensuring that finances and operations are closely aligned.

You also have responsibility for assembling and further developing the leadership team with a focus on clear agreements, a well-functioning collaboration, and progress in central development initiatives. You are a visible and present leader with an overview of the entire organization.

We are looking for a leader who

• Has solid leadership experience with leading other managers
• Has experience from a municipal and politically governed organization
• Has a healthcare professional background and insight into home care and nursing
• Has strong interest in and insight into economics and operational management
• Has knowledge of legislation in the elderly and health sector, including the Elderly Act and the Health Act
• Can communicate clearly and create understanding across the organization
• Can create followership and work in a trust-based manner
• Works in an inclusive manner and can bring the leadership team together around a common direction and ensure that decisions are translated into practice

Employment is in accordance with the applicable collective agreement for healthcare personnel between KL and either FOA, DSR, Ergoterapeuterne or Fysioterapeuterne as well as Gribskov Municipality’s salary policy. The collective agreement can be read at www.kl.dk
