About the job

Would you like to use your communication and networking skills in an exciting role where you host events at universities and other educational institutions?

As a Junior Marketing Consultant you will be part of an organization that makes a huge difference for academics.

Meet your upcoming colleague

Malin Poulsen is a Junior Marketing Consultant at Akademikernes A-kasse, where she typically works 8-15 hours per week. She also studies social sciences at Roskilde University.

Right now Malin is looking for a new colleague in Copenhagen and Aarhus to cover study events and partnership agreements there.

“The position as a Junior Marketing Consultant involves challenging and exciting tasks. And the job is characterized by good opportunities to shape my own work days, where you often also plan how the tasks should be solved. It requires the ability to work independently and take responsibility. At the same time you are met with a lot of trust, which is very motivating to work in,” she says.

As a Junior Marketing Consultant you will be part of a total team of 14 Junior Marketing Consultants at Akademikernes A-kasse, who work at educational institutions and attend education fairs etc. nationwide.

"Akademikernes A-kasse is a fantastic place to work. There is a strong focus on well-being and a good working environment, and you can clearly feel it. Both professionally and socially there is a genuine desire to help and develop each other," explains Malin.

Tell other students about the membership benefits

On a typical work day you come into the office, take the materials (brochures and merchandise) you need, and then you go out to the university/institutions for talks, stands and fairs.

"The tasks are varied and range from recruitment stands at the different educational institutions in the region to negotiations with current and potential partners - you are challenged in the job. There is variation in the job, and there is plenty of room to be innovative and to take responsibility – and the relevant challenges fit well with my studies," Malin says.

The goal of your work is naturally to recruit members to Akademikernes A-kasse, and you will also participate in other events where we highlight benefits for student members. You work from your own budget and enter into agreements on your own and negotiate with student organizations, so we can be visible on their study programs.

In addition you can expect to participate in marketing activities, such as coordinating marketing efforts and assisting with follow-up on registrations into, for example, memberships, sign-ups for competitions etc.

You will receive

  • 175 kroner per hour (fixed salary – we do not use commission)
  • Thorough training so you are well prepared to tell about the unemployment fund
  • An independent job with great flexibility, where you plan the work yourself
  • Sweet colleagues all over the country – both permanent employees and many other students.

Your profile

You are a student at a university in Copenhagen or Aarhus, preferably University of Copenhagen or Aarhus University (BSS), and have at least two years left of your studies.
