About the job

About the job

Do you dream of working in a health unit where the focus is on rehabilitation, interdisciplinary collaboration and helping citizens become as self-reliant as possible? Do you want to use and develop your skills in rehabilitation as a social- and health care assistant in citizens' homes? Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for!

We are looking for a new colleague for our roaming evening shift team, which currently consists of 8 social- and health care workers. We want our new colleague in the Health Unit Fuglebakken to be willing to be part of a mobile/outreach team that focuses on rehabilitation, professional quality, citizen safety, well-being, collaboration and a good working environment.

The position is 30-37 hours per week as requested. You will, as a starting point, work on a 5-2 rotation, where you work Monday and Tuesday and odd weekends.

About the job

As a social- and health care helper in the health unit you perform delegated nursing tasks as well as care and practical assistance to citizens in their own homes. You focus on rehabilitation and citizen education and aim to make citizens as self-reliant as possible. You visit the citizen in their own home, and you travel around to citizens by car. Therefore, a driver’s license is required.

As an employee in the health unit you will work with “new” citizen pathways, i.e., citizens who are not already in a pathway in the municipality. The pathways typically last 8-12 weeks. We rely heavily on your observations and feedback on the citizens' progress in rehabilitation during the evening shift.

We place great emphasis on giving you a good introduction to the tasks. We are continuously in dialogue regarding your competence development with a focus on your personal learning and development.

About the team

We are a small evening shift team, but a team that cares for each other and for good collaboration. We are looking for a colleague who wants to contribute with high professionalism, good collaboration and help us become the best evening shift team in Aarhus Municipality.

If you think it is meaningful to work on giving citizens back some competencies and skills, and it energizes you to see citizens develop, then perhaps you are the person we are looking for.

Candidate profile

We want our new colleague to

  • Find it meaningful to work rehabilitating to increase self-reliance.
  • Be skilled in relationship-building, and quick to create security in the citizen’s process.
  • Be independent and preferably creative in the way you solve tasks.
  • See differences as a potential for the team’s development.
  • Can document and work with citizens’ goals.
  • Have overview and can work solution-oriented.
  • Be a role model for good communication both verbally and in writing.
  • Have a flair for mobilizing the citizen’s resources, and work focused on rehabilitation and citizen education.
  • Contribute with a positive attitude and good humor.
  • Have a driver’s license.
  • Be a team player who wants to contribute to the good working environment.

Therefore you should choose us

We offer

  • A high degree of influence on how to solve the task in collaboration with the citizen and colleagues.
  • A team in professional and collegial development, who want to develop our tasks and each other.
  • Engaged colleagues and a leader who, together with you, will help create the best professional team in Aarhus Municipality.

Salary and terms of employment

The position is to be filled as soon as possible, but no later than 01-01-27.

Salary and employment terms according to the current collective agreement in the FOA area.

Final salary determination takes place after negotiation with the bargaining-empowered trade union based on qualifications.
