Full-time apprenticeship supervisor for pedagogical assistant trainees in the adult sector

We are seeking a full-time training supervisor who is as passionate about the education sector as we are, and who would like to further develop and strengthen the training of our pedagogical assistant students.

As a training supervisor you will play a central role in supporting students’ education within the adult social- and health care and elderly care sector. You will become an important partner for students, training sites and colleagues, and you will have the opportunity to influence the development of the area.

You will become part of the Department of Education & Recruitment. The department has the overall responsibility for supporting and setting the strategic direction for the education task in Leisure, Health, Care & Social, as well as being responsible for a number of cross-cutting recruitment and engagement initiatives. We are seeking a professionally strong and engaged training supervisor who is motivated by developing the guidance and the learning environments in which the students participate. Close collaboration on the students’ learning and development

As a training supervisor you will be part of close collaboration with our current training supervisor in the pedagogical area.

Together you bring your professional backgrounds and experiences to ensure pedagogical assistant students have a coherent and developmental education program. You will coach each other in everyday tasks, coordinate initiatives and work purposefully to support both students and training sites.

Together you will, among other things, work on

• ensuring high quality in students’ training programs
• supporting students’ learning, well-being and academic development
• developing and strengthening learning environments at training sites
• building and maintaining strong collaborations with training sites and partners
• contributing to the ongoing development of the education field

You will become part of a professional team where knowledge sharing, sparring and joint task solving are natural parts of everyday life. At the same time you will have the opportunity to independently drive tasks and apply your competencies.

In addition, you will have close collaboration with both the academic coordinator and the education consultant for the pedagogical assistant education, who help shape the direction of the area.

We expect that you

• are educated as a pedagogical assistant or as an educator
• have experience with guidance and education
• have experience within the adult social- and/or health care and elderly care sector
• are positive and have good interpersonal skills
• thrive both working independently and working closely with others
• are skilled at communicating both verbally and in writing
• can use IT at a basic user level
• are curious and feel comfortable in processes where we become wiser along the way
• work in a structured and appreciative manner
• are open and approachable
• are keen to be a full-time mentor

The position is 37 hours per week, and you should expect travel around the municipality when visiting students and training sites.

Salary and employment terms are set in accordance with the current collective agreement, including the current provisions on local pay formation. Additionally, following a case-by-case assessment, qualification and/or duty allowances may be agreed depending on the content of the position and your experience and qualifications.
