About the job

Do you want to work closely with political decisions and help translate large reforms into concrete changes for citizens on the edge of the labor market? Then you may be our new colleague at the Danish Agency for Labour Market and Recruitment (STAR).

A job with responsibility, pace and political relevance We are seeking generalists for the Employment Office, where we develop and implement central reforms and initiatives in the employment area, including the Employment Reform, Ungeløftet and the unemployment benefit reforms. The task is to support the development of political agreements and to ensure they work in practice.

With us you get a position where you early take responsibility in an area that is highly politically prioritized and of great importance to society. You will have tasks normally associated with work in a ministry with political servicing, reform implementation and stakeholder management.

Your tasks will include

  • work on implementation projects that translate political agreements into concrete solutions
  • draft decision papers and contribute to the ongoing support of the Minister of Employment and the Minister for Equality, the Ministry of Employment, Equality and Civil Status, Parliament and the agency's management
  • collaborate with central stakeholders in the employment field, including municipalities and external organizations
  • contribute to the development of new policy through practice, data and knowledge.

Professionalism, responsibility and collaboration at the center You will be part of a department with high professional standards, great responsibility and close contact with both our department, the municipalities and key interest organizations.

You will have a daily routine with professional sparring, clear deliverables and the opportunity to develop yourself in a department with about 30 capable colleagues with different areas of expertise. We place emphasis on integrity, high quality, job satisfaction in daily life and strong cooperation – also when the pace is high.

Who are you? You likely have a social science education, e.g., cand.scient.pol., cand.scient.adm., cand.scient.soc. or similar. The most important is that you are ready to take responsibility, are strong in writing, can collaborate both internally and externally and have an understanding of processes in a politically governed organization.

You are well on your way if you

  • can work independently with your own deliverables
  • can create progress in complex tasks with many stakeholders
  • writes clearly and can translate complex material into decision-ready proposals
  • have an interest in employment policy, reforms and public governance
  • are flexible and contribute to a strong sense of community

What your new colleague says about their start: ”As a newcomer I quickly gained responsibility for some concrete tasks, where there was a clear expectation alignment and a sense of joining a team and contributing to a common cause.”

Salary and terms of employment The positions are permanent full-time. We expect you to start on 1 January 2027 or possibly earlier by arrangement.

You will be employed as a fuldmægtig under the Collective Agreement for Academics in the State.

Your daily workplace is the Danish Agency for Labour Market and Recruitment, Vermundsgade 38A, 2100 Copenhagen Ø.
