About the job

Would you like to help support portfolio management in one of Denmark's largest IT organizations? Do you have an eye for detail, and are you analytically strong? Then it is you we are looking for!

A meaningful workplace

In the Agency for Development and Simplification (UFST) we support and drive the digitization of the Danish Tax Administration. Our work receives great attention – both politically and publicly.

We work together with the other agencies in the Tax Administration in a partnership on operation and further development of a large IT portfolio and development of new IT solutions ranging from smaller projects to a number of large programs in the billions.

UFST solves large and complex tasks, and it is therefore crucial to set direction for the organization and ensure prioritization and overview of the IT portfolio. This is one of our core tasks in the Portfolio Management Office. We are ambitious in our problem-solving and have a goal to become the best at portfolio management of IT projects.

The dream job is in the Portfolio team

In order to solve our tasks, we work continually and purposefully to develop and maintain our portfolio management tools, methods, and processes. We are supported by a portfolio management system that enables task management, follow-up, and overview across a very large IT portfolio.

We are seeking a colleague who among other things can help operate our portfolio management system, assist in stable further development and ensure continued implementation in the organization. Experience with portfolio management systems is not a prerequisite, but an interest in learning it is a necessity.

You will become part of the team that is responsible for our portfolio management system. Our system administrator focuses on ensuring that the system is configured, operated and continuously maintained. You will supplement with overview, data guidelines and development to ensure full potential of the portfolio management system is utilized.

In addition to working with our portfolio management system, we also hope to find a colleague who is interested in understanding portfolio governance, delving into the current guidelines and workflow, and coming up with proposals on how these can be improved and simplified.

You can look forward to

  • An exciting and varied job
  • A job with a focus on development and room to influence the direction
  • A high degree of influence over your own tasks and responsibilities according to your level of competence
  • Skilled and ambitious colleagues with a can-do mindset who collaborate and help each other
  • Becoming part of an office where we pull together, have an informal tone, and take pride in making it exciting to come to work

It is essential that you are curious and motivated to find the good solution. You will encounter many exciting challenges from the start, close contact with many colleagues in our ministry, delivering products used by both colleagues and management, and a strong focus on ensuring good processes.

We provide a thorough introduction and training program so you can quickly work independently on the tasks. You will have varied and challenging tasks while there are good opportunities for competence development within the agency and the Ministry of Taxation and Growth.

You are skilled at both going in depth and thinking across

We place emphasis on having a high professional level and the ability to achieve good results, documented through previous employment and relevant education.

You have previously worked with tasks that require you to develop a deep professional understanding and at the same time maintain a broad interest in connections between tasks. You are used to acquainting yourself with new knowledge and are able to update your knowledge continuously. You pay attention to details, but also think about how the big picture should be understood. It is an advantage if you have experience from relevant work in the public sector or in a larger company.

You have an interest in and courage to learn about IT project portfolio management and have a desire to gain knowledge about IT development, governance and portfolio management systems.

More concretely, you should be able to recognize yourself in the following

  • have experience with governance and management
  • are outgoing and want to work at the intersection of several disciplines
  • are strong at developing and maintaining relationships
  • can drive a process and think several steps ahead
  • are analytically well-founded
  • have skills in Excel and Power BI and an interest to learn more about it
  • can translate your knowledge into clear language that is understandable to other professional groups

As a person you take responsibility for the task solving and ask questions along the way, and you like to deliver results and succeed in collaboration with others.

If the above description sounds like something for you, we look forward to receiving your application!
