Group Leader for the Day Shift in Tingbjerg in Home Care and Nursing Vanløse, Brønshøj, Husum

Do you want to help ensure smooth operations in home care and develop professional excellence and cross-disciplinary collaboration? Can you lead employees safely through changes and facilitate the development of new ways to solve tasks based on citizens' needs and resources? Then the position as group leader for the day shift in Tingbjerg is for you.

Your leadership task

As group leader you will be the line manager for about 32 employees, and you will be responsible for daily operations, employees' wellbeing, and professional development. You have an eye for the employees' everyday life, ensure coherence in task execution, and know how to prioritise so that everyday life runs optimally.

A central part of your leadership task is to build and maintain a culture characterized by trust, professional pride, and openness. Here you use facilitative leadership to strengthen employees' collaboration and the development of new ways of working. You support professional dialogues, where employees' knowledge, experiences, and different perspectives come into play, and you create the framework for employees themselves to find solutions and make decisions. When necessary, you also facilitate the dialogues yourself.

An important part of the work is to strengthen cross-disciplinary collaboration about citizens, among other things through a common start of shifts and cross-disciplinary citizen meetings. You will help develop the collaboration so that the employees' different professional backgrounds contribute to coherent pathways for citizens. You must also support a rehabilitative approach, where employees collaborate with citizens to preserve and develop their own resources.

We are in a professional and organizational consolidation of home care and nursing for adults, where employees and managers from the Social Administration (SOF) become part of the Health and Care Administration (SUF) from May 3, 2027. As group leader you will have an important task in change management. You contribute to creating direction, meaning, and security for employees during a period of major changes. You support new and current colleagues in developing a shared work culture that builds on good experiences.

We also place high priority on the educational task and have a study unit that contributes to a strong learning environment. As group leader you support the students’ learning and create good conditions for their educational process, with an eye to the competencies we need now and in the future.

About you

You are a trained nurse and have leadership experience. If you do not have a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Leadership or an equivalent qualification, we offer you the opportunity to pursue one.

The Home Care and Nursing Vanløse, Brønshøj, and Husum is one of Copenhagen Municipality's five home care and nursing areas and part of the Health and Care Administration. We are about 300 employees spread across home care, nursing, assessment, and cross-cutting functions.

As a group leader in Tingbjerg you will become part of a strong leadership community with close collaboration with leadership colleagues in Husum Vænge and at satellite offices in the area. We collaborate on daily operations and development, consult with each other, and find joint solutions to cross-cutting tasks.

Terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment are set in accordance with qualifications and the applicable collective agreement between the municipality and the relevant professional organization. This is a permanent full-time position with start on January 1, 2027.
