You will be responsible for the finance function

As Chief Accountant you will have overall responsibility for the company’s finance function and will be an important sparring partner for the administrative manager and the rest of the management.

You will have personnel responsibility for the company’s accounts payable clerk and will be responsible for ensuring that bookkeeping, reporting and financial processes operate efficiently, correctly and on time.

The position is not a classic controller role with distance from the operations. On the contrary, you should thrive on being actively involved in the daily tasks and be eager to work hands-on in the entire finance function.

Your responsibilities include, among other things

• Responsibility for the daily operation of the bookkeeping
• Bookkeeping, reconciliations and payment flows
• VAT reporting, OSS VAT and international VAT matters
• Liquidity management and handling of currency
• Monthly closures and ongoing reporting
• Preparation of monthly financial statements
• Payroll administration, payroll control and related reconciliations
• Responsibility for preparation of annual accounts
• Primary contact to the auditor
• Budgets, forecasts and management reporting
• Ensuring compliance and internal controls
• Continuous optimization and digitization of financial processes
• People management of the company’s accounts payable clerk

You will have great influence on shaping the development of the finance function and contribute to processes and systems keeping pace with the company’s continued growth.

You have done this before and naturally take responsibility

We expect that you currently work as Chief Accountant, finance manager, senior bookkeeper or in a similar role where you have had overall responsibility for bookkeeping and accounting.

You have solid accounting understanding and are motivated by creating quality, structure and overview. At the same time you have the business sense to translate numbers and data into valuable sparring for the management.

We expect that you

• Have a educational background in economics, accounting or auditing
• Have several years’ experience with running a bookkeeping function
• Have experience with monthly and annual closings
• Have in-depth knowledge of VAT, reconciliations and accounting reporting
• Have experience with ERP systems and digital finance processes
• Work in a structured and detail-oriented manner
• Are independent and take responsibility for your tasks
• Can maintain an overview in a fast-paced company

Experience with international transactions, e-commerce, stock management or E-conomic is an advantage but not required.
