About the job

You will have a central professional leadership role with responsibility across two areas: the professional leadership in PPR and the professional leadership of the special team consultants in the Center for School and PPR.

In Næstved Municipality we have high ambitions on behalf of our children and youth. At the top is the ambition of a daycare and school area with participation opportunities for all children and young people as close to the mainstream environment as possible. As a professional leader in PPR, you will have a central role in helping to anchor the entire strategy towards a diverse and stronger mainstream community while also focusing on developing our municipal special offers.

About PPR and the position

PPR plays a central role in the municipality's clear vision that children and young people should thrive and develop in and close to the mainstream pedagogical community.

This management role is a two-part and meaningful leadership task, where you become the professional leader in PPR, and the professional leader for consultants in the school department who work with special education, including visits [SK1] . Your professional task is to ensure the red thread from the early, preventive efforts in PPR to the strategic visitations processes. You report directly to the head of PPR.

PPR will from 1 January consist of several professions, distributed among psychologists and daycare- and school consultants.

The two professions in PPR have their own professional tasks and coordinators, but they are close partners in the preventive practice-oriented collaboration with daycare and school and in the shared professional competence development both internally and externally.

As a professional leader you will be part of PPR’s overall leadership with an independent professional and organizational area of responsibility. You will engage in close leadership collaboration on the strategic development, prioritization and coordination of PPR’s overall tasks together with the PPR leader and coordinators from the two professional groups.

As the professional leader of the special team in the school department, you will advise and guide, inspire and collaborate with the consultants on incoming visitations cases, participate in dialogue meetings with parents and partners in connection with appeals, co-create and develop procedures and case workflows for the overall visitation work.

You must be professionally secure in complex visitation cases and ensure that decisions are made on a professional basis with a focus on the learning and development needs of the child or youth in close collaboration with consultants from the central school department.

Strategic leadership and organizational development

As part of PPR’s leadership, you are expected to actively contribute to the overall strategic and organizational development. You must be able to translate political and strategic ambitions into concrete actions and help support that PPR develops in line with the needs and expectations in the child and youth area.

Your tasks will include, among others

  • actively contribute to PPR’s common leadership task and strategic direction
  • build strong relationships and collaboration interfaces inside and across the organization
  • visitation processes, professional assessments, responses to complaints and complaint handling via dialogue
  • professional sparring of staff in PPR and the consultants in the special team in the school department
  • contribute to developing an organization that is curious about new solutions and dares to challenge existing practice

Your profile

  • You have a relevant basic professional education supplemented by a master's degree or you are trained as a psychologist, preferably supplemented with a leadership qualification or willing to pursue one.
  • You have extensive experience with PPR in the daycare and school area.
  • You have solid experience with visitation of children and youth to specialized daycare and school placements.
  • You have experience with complex cases for children and young people in mainstream and vulnerable positions.
  • You have knowledge of school placements for placed children and young people in care settings.
  • You have experience with professional leadership closely related to complex tasks.
  • You are humorous and can maintain an informal tone and also contribute to seeing challenges and conditions from an unconventional perspective.

What do we offer?

In PPR you will be part of an ambitious and engaged leadership team where we spar with each other. We offer a workplace with high ceilings, strong influence on task-solving and a common drive to make a difference for children, youth and families. We value collaboration, we are a “we” in PPR and support each other in a psychologically safe work environment. We are a large, unified staff group of 48 personnel.
