About the job

Would you like to use your professional expertise to make a difference for children and young people in the Municipality of Tønder? Then you might be the one we are looking for for our psychological professional group in PPR in the Municipality of Tønder.

We are looking for a colleague who wants to put their professionalism into play where it really matters – in work with learning, wellbeing and development for children and young people. This is a full-time position starting on 1 January 2027.

With us you will become part of an interdisciplinary community with psychologists, educational psychology consultants, learning consultants, speech and hearing consultants as well as physiotherapists and occupational therapists. We work in a practice-oriented way with a strong focus on early interventions.

About the psychological professional role

In our psychological group, employees are responsible for their own districts. In addition, we handle tasks within light treatment, including Cool Little Kids and Tryghedscirklen, as well as the establishment and development of the municipality's accessible treatment offerings for children and young people.

We are looking for someone who

  • is educated cand.psych or cand.pæd.pæd.psyk
  • has an eye for pedagogical work and is pedagogically minded
  • can work flexibly, has good collaboration skills and an open mind
  • has strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • can work in a structured way and balance between independent work and cross-disciplinary tasks.

Because the Municipality of Tønder covers a large geographic area, a driver's license and own car are required for the position.

Your tasks

Your work will include, among other things

  • psychological professional assistance to children and young people aged 0-18
  • preventive and consultative efforts in close collaboration with daycare, schools and parents
  • advice and guidance for children, young people, families and partners
  • assessments, testing, clarification and professional assessments
  • written recommendations that can be translated into meaningful actions in practice
  • Opportunity to contribute to implementation and task allocation related to our accessible treatment offerings.

What we can offer

With us you will become part of a dedicated colleagues’ community who share the same passion as you. We place great emphasis on both professionalism and community across our team, so that together we provide the best possible help to the municipality's children, young people and their families. Therefore, sparring, reflection and development are an important part of our workflow.

We offer you a varied everyday life with the possibility to shape both framework and development. At start we establish a mentoring scheme, where you will have the opportunity to follow your new colleagues, so you are well introduced to our practice and land safely in your new role.

Practical information

Start date is 1 January 2027. The application deadline is 7 December 2026, and we expect to hold interviews on 16 December 2026.

If you have questions about the position, you are very welcome to contact the head of PPR, Joan Schmidt, at tel. 24 98 16 97 or at [email protected]

Salary and terms of employment will be according to the applicable collective agreement, and placement in the salary scale depends on experience, competence and relevant education. We note that before employment we will obtain a child protection clearance and references.

We look forward to reading your application.

You apply for the position by sending your application, CV and other documentation electronically via the application link. You will receive a receipt for the application, but please note that the receipt and any invitation to interview may end up in your spam filter.
