DESIGN STUDIO MANAGER FOR FLEXMODUL A/S

Would you like to lead the design studio at one of the leading manufacturers of modern and sustainable modular construction and ensure that projects are translated into a well-developed and efficient production base?

FLEXMODUL A/S in Vinderup is seeking a design studio manager who can combine personnel leadership with a strong technical construction understanding, good planning skills and a high focus on quality.

You will play a central role in the company and act as the link between the design studio, project department, quality function, external consultants and production.

The position reports directly to the company's CEO.

THE ROLE, RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

As design studio manager you will have overall responsibility for the design studio and the daily management of the company's project designers.

You ensure that the drawing work is performed on time in relation to the production plan, and you follow the company's standards and procedures for quality as required by production and the individual construction projects.

An important part of the role will be to create structure, prioritise the design studio's resources and ensure an efficient flow from project material to production-ready drawings. At the same time you will develop the employees and contribute to a professional, efficient and developing working environment.

Your main areas of responsibility will include, among others, to

• Take care of the daily management and personnel management of the design studio
• Plan, prioritise and allocate the design studio's tasks and resources
• Ensure that the drawing work follows the production plan and is delivered on time
• Control and optimise the time consumption within the defined framework
• Ensure the quality of the production base before the material is released to production
• Ensure that the drawing material is correct, complete and usable for production
• Reduce errors, deficiencies and unnecessary rework between design studio and production
• Ensure that the company's standards, processes and procedures are followed
• Conduct performance and salary reviews and other personnel management tasks
• Support professional development, sparring and competency building in the design studio
• Continuously work on improving and optimising the design studio's processes
• Collaborate closely with the project manager on timely and complete submission of project material
• Coordinate with the quality department, consultants and production on standards, guidelines and regulations.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

We imagine that you have a construction-technical education, e.g. as a building constructor, engineer, architect or similar. You have experience with project planning and preparation or quality assurance of technical drawing material, preferably from modular construction, timber construction, element construction or other industrialised building production.

You either have experience with leadership or a clear desire to take the next step into a leadership role. The crucial thing is that you can create direction, structure and buy-in, while having the necessary professional understanding to spar with designers, project managers, consultants and production.

In addition, we emphasise that you

• Have solid experience with project planning and technical drawing material
• Have an understanding of the link between project planning, quality and production
• Can plan and prioritise resources in a project-oriented daily life
• Work in a structured manner and follow up tasks through to completion
• Have an eye for quality, detail and usability of the drawing material
• Can handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Communicate clearly and constructively across disciplines
• Are development-oriented and motivated by improving processes and workflows
• Thrive with both managerial, coordinating and professional tasks
• Have experience with relevant CAD or BIM tools. Experience with Revit will be an advantage.
