About the job
Would you like a varied everyday life with professional quality in daily care – in collaboration with fantastic colleagues, then you are the one we are missing
We place high emphasis on professionalism and see collaboration between colleagues and with the patient as our most important tools. We are looking for a colleague who has experience from psychiatry, or who would like to gain insight into a new specialty.
Marianne has been a nurse on S2 since 2010 and tells about the work on S2
As care staff on S2 we support young adults with psychotic disorders in their work to achieve greater life competence, quality of life and stability. We can also be a supplementary hope for the young person who has had their future dreams crushed by mental health problems. We use environmental therapy, cognitive approaches and creative as well as practical activities in our work with the young. It can be highly satisfying to see a young person slowly regain belief in the future and zest for life.
As an employee there are good opportunities to go more in depth with the areas of nursing you are particularly interested in.”
Learn and become more skilled together with the best colleagues
Section S2 is an open adult psychiatric inpatient ward with 18 beds. In the inpatient ward S2 we examine and treat younger patients aged 18-35 with different forms of schizophrenia or other conditions with psychosis.
With us you become part of a staff group where solidarity, collegial sparring, and development are considered a natural part of daily life. We are passionate about our specialty, and we have a good working environment where everyone has a voice. We have high ceilings when it comes to ideas for problem solving, and we are not bound by 'this is how we usually do it…'.
The professional environment
As a healthcare professional at S2 you get an exciting, varied and developing job in a busy everyday life with engaged, creative and capable colleagues, where we help and support each other.
We focus on professional development, and competency development is given high priority in the department. We offer new colleagues thorough introduction and training and a good mentorship scheme, based on each individual's skills.
We work structurally with the patients and use milieu-therapeutic and cognitive principles to create individual care-, activity- and treatment plans – prepared in close collaboration with the patient and relatives. In addition, involving the patient and cooperation with the patient is central and treatment and care are based on the patient’s needs and condition.
We work to establish good collaboration with the patient’s relatives, as well as other relevant people around the patient.
We value interdisciplinary collaboration, where each professional group contributes with their specific knowledge to the overall patient journey.
The staff consists of chief physician, doctors in training, a clinical psychologist, nurses, social and health care assistants, occupational therapist, social worker and physiotherapist. There is also collaboration with medical secretaries and music therapists.

If you are hired on S2, you will become colleagues with Tina, who here tells about what it is like to be a new social and health care assistant on S2:
”It was incredibly easy to be new at S2 because I felt welcomed from day one! Smiling and kind colleagues who stood ready with open arms to help me and teach me.
One thing that is wonderful about S2 is that I can spar with my colleagues and we use each other's experiences and different perspectives, which makes everyday life really exciting. It is awesome to work at S2 because the working environment is really good. Everyone helps each other and you help where you can, which makes the collaboration good and there is always someone who can contribute with something, even if you are new.
One’s needs and wishes regarding shift schedules are listened to and a lot is done to make it work so that it fits everyone’s wishes.”
