Helper wanted for morning shifts two to three days a week on weekdays from 06:00 to 08:00, Roskilde

In Roskilde lives a 12-year-old boy who is diagnosed with autism with his mother and younger sister. Each morning the boy's mother goes to work early, and therefore there is a need for someone who can ensure that he gets off to school well.

He is a really happy boy who loves to watch YouTube videos especially with songs, craft on IPAD, playdough, and if he can be persuaded to draw what he says, then that's a hit too.

He doesn't have a lot of language, but he expresses himself with few words and body language about what he needs, or would like.

When you meet at 06:00, the boy is already ready for the day. Your task will be to ensure that you have a cosy morning together, that he gets a small snack, a sip to drink and puts on his shoes and takes his iPad in the bag before he has to catch the bus. The school bus arrives at the family's address at about 7:45 (the driver calls 10 minutes before arrival)

Down in the bus you may need to go inside and help fasten him in. After that you are free.

We are looking for someone who is

• Is calm, patient and caring
• Is steady and good at creating security and structure
• Wants to engage in a close relationship
• Experience with autism (not a requirement but an advantage)

Shifts

The shifts are 06.00-08.00 from Monday to Friday, on all weekdays (except holidays). Right now we are looking for a new permanent partner to the other permanent helper, as you should be able to cover shifts for each other in case of illness or vacation, so you should be flexible as needed. There will be occasional weekdays where no help is needed if the mother is off.

Currently the shift distribution is such that you generally have two shifts one week and three the other.
