About the job

Are you an experienced occupational therapist with experience from the social, special, or psychiatric sector? Do you want to use your professional expertise close to the children and at the same time help develop the occupational therapy practice at Bihuset Døgn in Odense – part of Autism Center Southern Denmark?

Then we may have the job for you! We offer permanent employment and a full-time position. Employment will start on 1 December or as soon as possible.

We are looking for an experienced and professionally strong occupational therapist who wants to help create a clear occupational therapy direction in daily life. With us you will become part of an established occupational therapy colleague group, a larger occupational therapy network in the Autism Center, and an interdisciplinary staff team where your professionalism can have room to fill.

Your professionalism makes a difference

As an occupational therapist at Bihuset Døgn you are not beside the pedagogues – you are part of the professional whole.

You participate in staff and team meetings and become an important part of the children’s everyday life and development. We believe that the best efforts arise when different professional disciplines work closely together around the child.

Your immediate supervisor is an occupational therapist, and you will have colleagues with the same professional background to brainstorm with, develop yourself together with, and share experiences with.

We need you who can strengthen goals and documentation

An important part of your task will be to contribute to a more systematic and meaningful measurement work .

You will among other things help translate the municipalities’ performance goals into goals that take the individual child’s perspective, everyday life, and participation opportunities as starting points.

This means that you must be able to connect the overarching goals with what is important and meaningful for the child – and be involved in making the goals concrete, understandable, and usable in daily practice.

You must be able to translate your observations and occupational therapy assessments into clear documentation and help ensure that we continuously follow up on whether our actions make a difference.

We therefore seek you who have professional depth, systematic thinking, and a view for both the child and the overall task.

Be part of developing occupational therapy

You will have good opportunities to influence and develop the occupational therapy practice at Bihuset Døgn.

All occupational therapists will be trained in Sensory Profile, and you will have the opportunity to help develop the method we will work with going forward.

You will thus not only be someone who uses existing methods. You will have the opportunity to test, qualify, and set the direction for our common occupational therapy practice.

At the same time you will be part of the larger occupational therapy network in the Autism Center, where we share knowledge and develop the profession together.

We imagine that you

  • are a trained occupational therapist and have experience from the social, special, or psychiatric sector
  • have solid experience with the target group and preferably with children and young people
  • are professionally strong and can translate occupational therapy knowledge into practice
  • work in a structured way with goals, documentation, and follow-up
  • can see the connection between the municipality’s performance goals, the child’s perspective, and daily life
  • thrive in a close interdisciplinary collaboration

With us you get

  • a workplace where occupational therapy has a clear and important role
  • an occupational therapy leader and established occupational therapy colleagues
  • access to a larger occupational therapy network in the Autism Center
  • training in Sensory Profile
  • opportunity to help develop our shared method
  • a daily life where you are an integrated part of the interdisciplinary staff group
  • opportunity to make a real difference for the children.

Would you like to join?

If you are an experienced occupational therapist who would like to use your professional knowledge closely with the children, strengthen the work with goals and documentation, and help develop occupational therapy at Bihuset Døgn, we would love to hear from you.

Here your occupational therapy professionalism can fill the room – and you will have the opportunity to help shape how we do things.

For questions, please contact the department head Maria Hannemann Jespersen at 30433175 or the clinical lead Lonni Finken at 23838553 – send a text message and we will call you back as soon as we can.

We look forward to receiving your application!

The region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be told the base salary, centrally set allowances and pension in 33.21.1 . In addition to the starting salary, the salary may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience, and qualifications.
