Holmstrupgård's Bækken department is seeking a permanent awake night shift worker for 34 hours per week, starting on November 1 or as soon as possible thereafter

Are you a trained SOSU assistant, nurse, pedagog or occupational therapist? Are you interested in working with youths and social psychiatry? Holmstrupgård is seeking an employee to join the team on the Bækken department as a awake night shift of about 34 hours per week. Maybe it is exactly you we are looking for!

The target group at Bækken is youths aged 12-23 years with psychiatric disorders, with the primary diagnosis being an eating disorder, but with a high degree of comorbidity within autism spectrum disorders, personality disorders, OCD, depression, anxiety and self-harm.

Working with the target group requires a high level of professional understanding and perseverance.

You will support the youths in maintaining their structure and contribute to a safe, developmental and positive environment. You will primarily work alone on the department, but with available colleagues in the other houses around Holmstrupgård.

We emphasize that you

• Have psychiatric experience – preferably from work with youths from residential facilities, child and adolescent psychiatry and/or experience as a night shift worker
• Are clear about working alone on the department and show great responsibility and independence
• Are trained as a pedagogue, SOSU assistant, nurse or occupational therapist
• Are loyal to the agreed structure and practice
• Are prepared to act in situations with high emotional pressure
• Are empathetic and seek to understand the youth’s perspective
• Can provide support and motivation
• See the practical work on the department at night as a natural part of your duties
• Consider documentation and quality an important part of the milieu-therapeutic work
• Have a driving license
• Can cooperate with external actors such as on-call doctor, police and hospital

Work tasks

• To join a fixed rotation in the meeting plan on shifts with another night shift
• To maintain the milieu-therapeutic structure
• To take care of and create calm around the youths
• Practical work and cleaning on the department

Holmstrupgård has a strong multidisciplinary work environment, where we value collaboration across disciplines to best contribute to a good youth life.

Holmstrupgård is a highly specialized social-psychiatric day and residential service for youths aged 8-23 years with possible extension up to 30 years. The target group has psychiatric difficulties such as schizophrenia, autism spectrum disorders, attention disorders, depressive states, eating disorders and severe self-harm. Holmstrupgård consists of 5 residential units, specialized education offerings and employment, transition, as well as several outpatient treatment options. We offer a holistic educational and milieu-therapeutic treatment on a psychodynamic basis.
