The Royal Life Guard is a large regiment with two overarching tasks: to guard the Royal Palaces and Palaces as well as to train soldiers for the Danish field army.

The Royal Life Guard is an organization with a high level of activity, which places great demands on employees' professional competence, physical condition and well-being. About the position

You will be employed as a sports coordinator in a fixed-term project position at the Staff of the Royal Life Guard. Your primary responsibility will be to map and analyse the regiment's existing sports conditions and develop proposals on how opportunities for sport and physical activity can be strengthened for the regiment's employees.

The position combines project work, analysis and development with practical coordination and running of sports activities. You will both investigate employees' needs, test new initiatives and contribute to increasing the Life Guard's participation in sporting events and competitions.

Your tasks will include, among others

• Mapping and analysis of the existing sports conditions, employees' needs and participation patterns at the Royal Life Guard.
• Development and testing of new sports initiatives and activity forms aimed at creating better opportunities for physical activity in daily life.
• Planning, execution and evaluation of time-limited pilot projects within sport and physical activity.
• Preparation of concepts, models and recommendations for the future organisation and development of the regiment's sports activities.
• Coordination with relevant internal and external partners, including the Defence's and the Danish Military Sports sports organizations.
• Planning and execution of sports events and competitions for the regiment, including events under the Defence, Danish Military Sports and civilian sports organizations.
• Strengthening selected sports, as well as coordinating participation in competitions and training camps.
• Communication and visibility of sport offerings and events through notices at the barracks, social media and other relevant communication channels.
• Development of guidelines, procedures and quality standards for sports activities.
• Development of a final report with analyses, results and recommendations, as well as handover of the project's experiences and results to the organisation.

You will have an independent role in driving the project forward and must be able to translate analyses and ideas into concrete activities and recommendations that can be used in the regiment's daily life.

The position is a project appointment from 1 March 2027 to 28 February 2029.

About you

We envisage that you have a relevant educational background at academic level.

You have an interest in sport and physical activity and are motivated to create good frameworks so that employees with different functions and prerequisites can participate in sports activities. You thrive with both planning and analytical tasks and the practical coordination where ideas must be translated into activities.

We place particular emphasis on the following

• Work in a structured and independent manner and can plan and drive a project from mapping to evaluation and final reporting.
• Have strong analytical skills and can collect, process and communicate data and feedback in a clear and usable way.
• Are proactive and development-oriented and can identify opportunities, test new solutions and follow up on results.
• Have good collaboration skills and can build relationships across professional groups, organizational levels and external partners.
• Are good at coordinating and keeping an overview, even when multiple activities and stakeholders must be handled simultaneously.
• Communicate clearly and precisely both in writing and orally and can convey sport offerings and activities to different target groups.
• Have a practical approach to task solving and are prepared to contribute to planning and carrying out sports events yourself.

Knowledge of the Royal Life Guard, military sport and the organisation of sports activities is an advantage.

Because the position is time-limited, it is important that you can create momentum, prioritise tasks and ensure that the project results are documented and anchored in the organisation before the project period ends.

Employment terms

The appointment is carried out in accordance with the current agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of academic organizations for academics in the state (Academic Agreement).

Depending on your qualifications and competences, there is a possibility for negotiation of supplements. There is an employer-funded pension scheme linked to the position.

The workplace is in Birkerød.

As an employee within the Ministry of Defence's area, you are subject to some special conditions. You must, among other things, be security clearable and maintain the security clearance throughout the employment.

As an employee you are obliged to perform service outside the country, including at units in international operations with a view to participation in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peacebuilding, humanitarian and other similar operations.
