About the job

Do you want to stand at the center of the development of the Nature Agency's ESDH area - and are you good at creating solutions together with those who will use them? We are seeking an experienced colleague with both solid ESDH expertise, technical system understanding and the ability to drive cross-cutting processes, who can take independent professional responsibility for our ESDH area and bridge the gap between system, business and users.

The Nature Agency faces exciting years in the ESDH area. In the short term we must complete the delivery to the National Archives and ensure a well-functioning operation of our current ESDH system. At the same time we must prepare the tender for our future ESDH solution in 2028.

Tasks and organization

You will become a central professional resource in the ESDH area and will have a large autonomous responsibility. Your task will be both to ensure the ongoing system management and professional governance of our ESDH solution and to drive development and change processes in close collaboration with the rest of the organization, just as you will be the agency's entry point to the National Archives.

Nature Agency consists of a headquarters and 16 local units spread across the country. ESDH runs across the entire organization, and a significant part of your work will therefore be to ensure dialogue, sparring and real involvement of administrative and professional staff at the headquarters and in the local units. The technical setup of the ESDH system at the State IT is managed by our IT and digitalization unit, while you will be the professional responsible for the development of the system.

It requires that you are good at listening and understanding different needs, but also that you can combine different perspectives and create progress and common solutions. You must be able to put yourself in the users' shoes and at the same time have an eye for the common requirements, processes and considerations that an ESDH solution must support.

We want to rethink how ESDH can support our business and workflows in the future. We see potential, among other things, in workflows, AI and increased automation. Therefore it is advantageous if you have experience in identifying the organization's needs and translating them into technical requirements and possibilities in a forthcoming solution.

Core tasks

  • Take care of ongoing system management, including system-specific assessments and the overall professional responsibility for the ESDH area.
  • Finalize the work with the delivery to the National Archives and periodes changes.
  • Drive preparations for the tender of Nature Agency's ESDH solution in 2028.
  • Ensure involvement and sparring across the headquarters and the 16 local units.
  • Identify needs and translate them into concrete solutions, workflows and requirements for ESDH.
  • Support quality and consistent practices in the journal and ESDH area.
  • Together with our IT department, manage supplier dialogue as well as prepare proposals and decision bases for the management.

Your profile

You have solid experience with ESDH beyond superuser level and with the governance framework around the journal area, digital document- and information management or equivalent system management. You can both understand the system's functionality and technical relationships and translate this knowledge into operations, requirements and organizational processes. It is therefore a great advantage if you have experience from the state or another public authority.

Your collaboration skills are at least as important as your system understanding. You must be willing to approach the organization, listen to different needs and create solutions together with those who will use them in everyday life. You must be able to build trust and constructive dialogue across disciplines, organizational levels and geography – even when wishes and interests do not necessarily point in the same direction.

We emphasize that you

  • Have solid practical experience with ESDH system governance beyond the superuser level and preferably familiarity with Public 360.
  • Have strong technical system and process understanding and an eye for the connection between ESDH, business and digital support.
  • Can plan and drive cross-cutting processes independently, involve relevant stakeholders and ensure progress.
  • Can translate users' needs into concrete workflows, solutions and requirements.
  • Communicate clearly in writing and speech and can prepare decision briefs for the management on complex or technical issues.
  • Understand working in a politically governed organization.

Experience with process optimization, workflows, requirements specification, IT procurement, supplier management or larger implementation projects would be an advantage.

You can have different educational backgrounds for the position. For example, you may have a relevant advanced education in public administration, information science, digitalization, IT or similar or an administrative education combined with solid relevant experience. Your concrete experience and your competences are more important to us than a specific degree.

We offer

You will become part of the Directors Secretariat, which consists of seven employees and a team leader with personnel management. The Directors Secretariat is a team under the Nature Agency's Secretariat, which also includes the Legal Team and the HR Team. The Secretariat is led by a Chief of Staff.

The Directors Secretariat is responsible, among other things, for ensuring timely delivery and quality assurance of cases to the ministry and Nature Agency's management. In addition, we coordinate leadership meetings and the general leadership support and carry out the central support of the agency's ESDH and journal area.

You will be part of a smaller team but will have a large interface to the rest of the Nature Agency. We place emphasis on strong collaboration both internally and across the organization, and there are good opportunities to take responsibility for and influence your own work areas.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of academic organizations for academics in the state (Academic Agreement).

Depending on qualifications and experience there may be the possibility of employment as a Special Consultant.

The position is 37 hours per week.

The employment area is the Ministry of Nature and Animal Welfare with related institutions.

The place of service is the Nature Agency, Førstballevej 2, 7183 Randbøl.

Since an important part of the job is collaboration with colleagues across the Nature Agency, you should expect some days of work at our local units.

It is expected that you have a driving license for a passenger car.

Company cars are available.
