Inspiring course instructor with a particular focus on the green kitchen

Are you a strong culinary craftsman and educator with a passion for green gastronomy and the desire to share your knowledge with both skilled workers, managers and unskilled adults? Then you are the instructor we are looking for at Hotel- og Restaurantskolen.

We are seeking an instructor with strong competencies in green gastronomy who will help lift and develop the industry's continuing education. For our course department we are looking for an instructor on a full- or part-time basis, but we also welcome applications from those who want to teach as a part-time lecturer.

The team

You will join the Course Team in the Area of Industry & Branding, which together with Communication & Marketing and the Apprenticeship Centre runs the school's external relations and continuing education.

We are 16 dedicated colleagues, and a number of hourly-paid instructors who work purposefully to strengthen the industry's competences.

With the basis in the school's Strategy 2025-2028, we work purposefully to equip tradespeople and unskilled workers for the future demands within green transition, gastronomic craft, service, hospitality and leadership.

About the job

As an instructor you play a central role in our courses and longer continuing education programs (AMU combined with IDV). You teach adult learners with varying prerequisites and experiences - from kitchen managers in large canteens and restaurants to kitchen persons with sole responsibility in institutions and unskilled workers who want upskilling.

You will become part of a professionally strong team, where you bring each other's competencies into play, share experiences and advise on didactic and pedagogical approaches to create high-quality teaching. Together you develop targeted and practice-oriented education programs based on the participants' everyday life.

You are energized by creating lively and engaging teaching for 2-3 days in a row and you create a safe learning environment where everyone gains something.

Your teaching is grounded in everyday life in professional kitchens, so you succeed in translating professional knowledge into practice-oriented solutions that course participants can use in their daily lives.

You can teach, practically and theoretically, in green gastronomy e.g. fermentation, upcycling, green open-faced sandwiches, plant-based and vegan food, etc., as well as nutrition, bread and pastries.

About you

You are a trained cook, or have another relevant education, and you have in-depth knowledge of daily life in professional kitchens.

We also would like you to

• Have experience with practical and theoretical teaching
• Can teach in both Danish and English.
• Can connect theory and practice and translate professional knowledge into concrete and usable teaching
• Can plan and vary the teaching according to the participants' level
• Take responsibility for your courses and meet course participants professionally and engagingly.

Employment terms

We are seeking an instructor who can start with us on January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible. The position is full-time or part-time and the working hours will typically lie in the period 7:30–16:00. Teaching takes place in Copenhagen but other locations may also be discussed.

Employment is in accordance with the Ministry of Education's Circular no. 101 of February 1, 2007 on the terms of employment for civil servant-like employees at institutions for vocational education and culinary departments. There is an 18% pension scheme associated with the position.
