Kjærgård Agricultural School

Kjærgård Agricultural School is seeking a dedicated lecturer with a specialization in cattle production and breeding for a full-time position with start on 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

You will become part of a professionally strong environment with colleagues in livestock production and practically oriented teaching. The school has modern facilities and green training environments where theory and practice are closely linked in the teaching.

About the position

As a lecturer you will be responsible for teaching and professional development within cattle production and breeding. The teaching will be based on modern dairy farming, animal welfare, sustainability, and the use of new technology in the livestock farm.

Your tasks will include, among others

• Teaching in cattle production and breeding
• Planning and conducting practically oriented teaching programs
• Incorporating the school’s dairy cow herd and training environments into the teaching
• Collaboration with colleagues on the development of the subject area
• Guidance and motivation of students in both theory and practice

We are looking for a lecturer who

• Has professional background in cattle production, animal science or similar
• Has experience with modern dairy production and breeding work
• Has an interest in animal welfare, technology and sustainable production
• Thrives in teaching environments and is motivated by working with young people
• Is collaborative and actively contributes to the professional community

Teaching experience is an advantage but not a requirement.

Employment

The position is with start from 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. It is a full-time position, but other arrangements can be made.

Salary and terms of employment are negotiated according to the applicable collective agreement.
