KTI, The Iron & Metal School in Nuuk is seeking 2 teachers for the Ship Fitter education program

Then you should be Tech College Greenland's new instructor and colleague on the ship's fitter education program in Nuuk.

We are seeking a ship's fitter with a desire to teach future ship's fitters and give them personal and professional grounding. A teacher who can capture and engage our students and trainees. A colleague who is engaged, team-oriented and outgoing.

Tasks

You, together with your colleagues, shall plan, implement, evaluate and develop the teaching on the program.

You will become part of a school that meets the wishes and needs we see in the Greenlandic labor market and among those seeking education.

The ship's fitter education at KTI is run by engaged colleagues. In the team we focus on creating a coherent thread in teaching and ensuring that everyone lives up to a very high teaching standard. Profile

We expect that you

• have an education as a ship's fitter or equivalent documented qualifications that are relevant to the program
• have an interest in teaching and guiding, and are eager to share your knowledge with the students
• as a professional, are academically and technically curious
• as a person, are outgoing, development-oriented and eager, together with the team, to go all out to deliver KTI's core mission: The best teaching for students and trainees

You should preferably have several years of relevant professional experience in the field.

As a new teacher you will receive help and support from experienced colleagues, and as part of your competency development we pay for you to obtain a pedagogical basic education (PG), which takes place during working hours and often in other towns along the coast in Greenland. The education provides the same competencies as the Danish PG.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment terms, including entitlements to relocation travel and household goods move, in accordance with the agreement in force at the time of start between the Greenland Self-Government and the relevant negotiating organization.

For a candidate with the right documented competencies, there may be employment as a special consultant, chief consultant or senior advisor in accordance with the applicable agreement

Housing

No staff housing is provided for the position. If a candidate already has staff housing through employment with the Self-Government, the right to designated staff housing is maintained. The staff housing is tied to the employment and must be vacated at the end of the employment.
