Instructors for the waiter and gastronomy education programs

Would you like to help train the chefs and waiters of the future?

We need teaching staff for the gastronomy programs. Therefore, we are looking for two competent instructors to start on 1 January 2027. Both positions are, in principle, full-time, but a reduced number of hours may – after further agreement – be a possibility.

Your profile

You have high professional expertise and the ability to convey your knowledge in a motivating and practically oriented manner.

You thrive in working with young people, you are good at building trust and relationships, and you actively contribute to the students' motivation and well-being. At the same time you are structured and development-oriented.

You create inclusive learning environments where students develop both academically and personally.

Position 1: Primarily teaching foundation course students in the gastronomy and waiter programs.

Position 2: Primarily teaching main course students in the gastronomy program.

For both positions you must be a trained gastronome – preferably supplemented with another qualification within the industry. You will teach foundation and main course students, bridging students in practical and theoretical subjects in the gastronomy programs – as well as in AMU courses. Together with your other colleagues in the team you will help plan, develop and implement teaching activities and ensure good and effective learning processes for students and course participants.

Your qualifications

We imagine that you

• have a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience
• are fully proficient with the use of IT – and preferably use digital media in teaching
• can express yourself fluently in Danish – both orally and in writing
• are good at organizing and prioritizing your tasks.

It would be an advantage if you have an interest in – and have worked with – sustainability and/or have knowledge about hygiene and self-control.

If you do not have a secondary education background, you must be prepared to pass relevant subjects at A level within the first three years.

Salary and employment terms (salary checked)

Employment in a permanent position as a subject teacher is in a civil-service-like position with a two-year probation. Salary according to the applicable circular between the Ministry of Finance and the Central Organization of 2010 (CO10) as well as an 18% pension scheme. There is the possibility of qualification and responsibility allowances. Your salary expectations will be discussed during the interview.

If you do not already have a vocational-pedagogical education, you must complete the Diploma in Vocational Pedagogy according to regulation on vocational education, chapter 3, § 12. The education is paid for by the school.

Start date for both positions is 1 January 2027 or as agreed.
