At Vilvorde near Roskilde Technical School we educate some of the industry's most skilled greenkeepers and groundsmen. We are now looking for a academically strong and engaged subject teacher who is passionate about the greenkeeper and groundsman trades and who wants to share their knowledge, experience and passion with the next generation.

About the job

As a subject teacher on the greenkeeper and groundsman education, your most important task will be to translate your practical experience into inspiring teaching that prepares students for a modern and development-oriented industry.

You will among other things work with

• Teaching on the main program and AMU primarily within the entire education's area such as grass care, extensive areas, digital tools, technology and data and much more.
• Teaching on the Landscaping Gardener education to a lesser extent.
• Planning, conducting and developing practice-oriented teaching programs.
• Interdisciplinary projects in collaboration with colleagues and students.
• Professional guidance and support to students with different prerequisites.
• Participation in study trips, excursions, open house events and other activities where we promote the education.
• Continuous development of teaching, learning environment and educational quality.

Who are you?

You have solid experience from the greenkeeper industry and are motivated by developing people. Perhaps you already have teaching experience, or perhaps you are an experienced professional who is ready to use your knowledge in a new way.

We imagine that you

• are a trained greenkeeper
• have several years of practical experience with operation, design and establishment of golf courses, and preferably sports facilities
• have broad professional understanding and can connect theory and practice
• can communicate professional material in a motivating, clear and approachable way
• thrive in collaboration with both young and adult students and colleagues
• are curious about digital tools and want to work with, among other things, Moodle, which the school uses as its teaching platform
• contribute with engagement, initiative, good humor and an appreciative approach to other people

It is an advantage if you have experience with teaching, curriculum planning or knowledge of vocational education, but it is not a requirement. We provide the necessary pedagogical upskilling if you come directly from the industry.

Employment conditions and application deadline

Employment as a subject teacher on civil service-like terms. Salary and pension are determined in accordance with the current circular between the Ministry of Finance and LC.
