About the job
Job Consultant for citizens further from the labor market in Hillerød Municipality – 30 hours/week.
Do you want to make a real difference for people who need support to get closer to the labor market? Are you passionate about motivating and creating progression for citizens so they have the opportunity to participate in a work community? Then you are the one we are looking for!
In Hillerød we have a particular focus on citizens who have been in a job clarification program for more than one year. Therefore, we are looking for a job consultant who is motivated by working with complex problems and creating positive changes for people in vulnerable life situations.
As a job consultant you will play a central role in the effort to bring citizens closer to work or education. The task combines authoritative duties with the role of employment mentor, where you through a guided and holistic approach support the citizen in taking the next steps toward the labor market. Your efforts are crucial to creating progression in the programs and to strengthening the citizens' belief in their own possibilities.
Your primary task will be to support, guide and motivate citizens in longer-term job-clarification programs, so they achieve the best possible conditions for obtaining a job or education. At the same time, you will carry out an important pre-start up effort and work closely with IPS consultants, business consultants and other partners. Together you work purposefully toward the citizen achieving ordinary employment and paid hours or gaining access to relevant company-oriented offers.
We believe that relationships create results. Therefore, your ability to build trusting and professional relationships is central. Why choose us?
As part of the employment reform, we in Hillerød have started to develop the authorities role and thereby create the professional freedom we have been promised – and we would like you to join us on that development journey! You will therefore become part of our “Resource Team,” which besides the longer-term job-clarification programs also works with activity-ready citizens on cash benefits and citizens in resource-based programs.
In Hillerød Municipality we put the citizen at the center. We therefore emphasize that our employment efforts are meaningful and based on each citizen's wishes and needs. This is why we look forward to the professional freedom that the employment reform brings – and we are already actively working to translate it into practice, for example by bringing together the professional expertise for citizens further from the labor market in our section.
Additionally, we are developing our professional foundation through professional reflective practice, and you will play an important role in that! More about our section and your tasks with us
The position of Job Consultant is linked to the section “Jobs and Resources,” where we are responsible for the authority areas; activity-ready citizens over 30 on cash benefits, citizens in resource-based programs, citizens in longer-term job-clarification programs as well as the entire integration effort. We also have responsibility for the citizens on disability pension who want an employment effort as well as a preventive social housing effort.
The common denominator in our section is that the citizens, as a rule, need a cross-disciplinary and coordinated intervention to be able to get a foothold in the labor market.
We are a total of 19 employees in the section, and the tasks span a wide range, which creates a dynamic team where we can utilize each other’s expertise and perspectives.
We work from a focus on cross-collaboration. We do this because we believe collaboration is essential for us to succeed in getting our citizens out into the labor market. At the same time, we stand on a solid methodological foundation where we work from the solution-focused method (LØFT), trauma-informed practice, and recovery-oriented rehabilitation. All based on belief in the citizen and focus on the citizens' resources and competencies. A sample of tasks in the positions;
- Accountability for own case load and screening of citizens' needs.
- Assess unfitness for work pursuant to the Sick Leave Act § 7.
- Support relevant citizens' development in the role as employment mentor.
- Assist the citizen in identifying resources, skills and job/education wishes.
- Provide advice and guidance with a focus on progression toward the labor market.
- Collaborate with IPS- and company consultants to create concrete job opportunities.
- Ensure continuity and documentation in the professional system.
- Collect and document relevant cases for e.g. disability pension and flex jobs.
What we value in you
We are looking for a colleague who both wants to and thrives in working with vulnerable citizens – and who thrives in the role of both authority and employment mentor.
We expect that you;

- are good at relational work, including creating good and constructive processes with citizens.
- thrive with both administrative and citizen-facing tasks.
- contribute to a good working environment, and enjoy cross-collaboration.
- are responsible and engaged – both in relation to citizens and to your colleagues.
- can match citizens, based on their wishes and competencies, to relevant interventions.
- work in a structured way and are good at creating overview.
- have experience in using professional systems, including preferably Schultz Fasit, and other relevant IT tools.
- are good at communicating - both in writing and orally.
