Job consultant for Team A unemployment benefits in Solrød Municipality

Would you like to help more unemployed people in getting a job and education and also follow the citizen's process from the first job-oriented interview to contact with a potential employer? We are looking for a job consultant for a new, permanent position in Team A-unemployment with commencement on January 1, 2027.

A politically prioritized strengthening of the effort

Solrød Municipality has allocated funds to strengthen the effort in the unemployment area. The goal is that more people get into work and education, fewer become long-term unemployed, and the costs of support decrease. You will be part of Job Placement, where together we will translate the investment into concrete results for the citizens.

The extra capacity will allow for a targeted effort. We prioritize close individual follow-up for unemployed people at risk of long-term unemployment and use, among other things, group courses and digital tools for citizens who have good conditions for quickly finding work.

You combine authorities' work and company contact

As a job consultant you will handle both the authorities' tasks and the company-oriented effort for your citizens. You will become part of a team where we share responsibility for both instruction, authorities' work and the company-oriented effort.

You must be able to advise on job searching and career, cooperate with unemployment benefit funds, take direct contact with companies, open doors to new industries, create opportunities for paid hours and small jobs, internships and wage subsidy, and follow up on whether the effort brings the citizen closer to work or education. You must also be able to thrive working with citizens with more complex challenges.

Your main tasks

• Hold job-oriented conversations and early assess the individual citizen's possibilities, needs and risk of long-term unemployment.
• Handle the municipality's authorities' tasks for unemployment benefit recipients with clear guidance, professionally justified decisions and systematic documentation.
• Advise on targeted job searching, industry change, career, upskilling and relevant education possibilities.
• Visit companies, assess recruitment needs and create concrete job matches and relevant company-oriented pathways for your own citizens.
• Collaborate with unemployment funds on a good transition to the municipality's effort and a coherent contact process.
• Teach classes and smaller groups and support citizens' use of digital tools in the job search.
• Follow up on progression, wage hours and transition to work and education and, together with the team, adjust the effort when results call for it.
• You must have a driver's license and be willing to use your own car

Be part of developing our practice

Together with the team you will be an active part of the work to implement new employment legislation and translate it into meaningful workflows. In our competence and development programs with BDO we work with citizen segmentation, so the effort is tailored to their needs and distance to the labor market. You contribute to using the common professional approaches in conversations, choice of offers and follow-up.

You will also be involved in testing and implementing AI solutions and other digital tools together with colleagues across the department. We will use technology to support the quality of the work and free up time for citizen and company contact. You should be eager to learn new things, share experiences and assess what works in practice, with respect for professionalism and citizens' information. You do not need to be an AI specialist.

We are looking for you who

• Has experience with the unemployment area, preferably the unemployment benefits area, and knowledge of or experience with authorities' work.
• Can create relationships with employers and translate companies' needs into concrete opportunities for citizens.
• Is strong in dialogue with citizens with different professional backgrounds and can make job goals and next steps clear.
• Works in a structured and independent way and follows up on both agreements, professional quality and results.
• Thrives in combining authorities' work, career counseling, teaching and company contact.
• Contributes to the team's joint tasks and is keen to develop practice and learn new methods and digital tools.

Experience from a municipal employment effort, unemployment funds, recruitment, HR, company consultancy or career counseling can be relevant. Knowledge of VITAS and KMD Momentum is an advantage.

Salary and employment terms

The position is permanent and 37 hours per week with commencement on January 1, 2027. Salary and employment terms follow applicable collective agreement and principles of local salary formation. The expected monthly salary is DKK 35,000–40,000 before tax, excluding pension, for 37 hours per week. The specific salary will be agreed with the bargaining-empowered organization based on the position's functions and relevant experience and qualifications. Prior to any interview you will be informed of pension terms and the relevant collective agreement provisions on salary.

In Solrød Municipality we have flexible Friday, where you can plan your working hours completely independently.
