Have you taken a gap year and want to “earn” study-relevant points before you apply, so read on:

• In our department you can work as an unskilled health worker, either as hourly paid or possibly in a temporary position.
• We have a lot of experience with young people who have spent their gap year here, where they have had study-relevant tasks prior to applying and starting the medical or nursing studies. Our last 3 hourly-paid staff have just started medical school.
• As you develop professionally, you will be given more care responsibilities, become increasingly professionally skilled and gain good healthcare skills.
• You will work in a well-functioning department with friendly and helpful colleagues, where you will be welcomed and will receive thorough training.
• We schedule your shifts and go to great lengths to accommodate your needs, so it fits with your private circumstances and your upcoming studies.
• We use a temporary staffing system that makes it easy to plan shifts.
• You will, in addition to many nice colleagues, also be assigned a fixed coordinator with whom you will work closely on your development, well-being and planning of meeting times, any temporary position and shifts.
• You will also have a visible and accessible manager.
• Our requirements of you are that you, as a person, are responsible, proactive, present and have a respectful approach and a desire to be with our residents.

We have a high level of engagement, high professionalism, high well-being and great influence on the workday. We have social and health care assistants, two lead nurses, a development nurse, two professional coordinators, kitchen staff and a ward nurse. We also have close and good cooperation with various partners, including our nursing home doctor and psychiatrist, who come regularly to the department every week.

Egebjerg is part of Gentofte Nursing Home Housing. We house several target groups.

1st floor houses people who are mentally fragile, people with age-related physical disabilities, people with mild dementia, and a smaller group, 6 people with active alcohol abuse.

2nd floor houses people who are mentally fragile, a group with controlled alcohol abuse, people with age-related physical disabilities, people with milder dementia.

3rd floor houses people with severe dementia and many with mental fragility.

There are a total of 70 housing units spread across the three departments. We work multidisciplinary and rehabilitative with a contact person system in teams.
