About the job

Are you passionate about digital fabrication technologies, community and volunteering? Then you may be our new culture worker and workshop manager at Kildevæld Culture Center.

Imagine a workshop where ideas become reality, where 3D printers hum, the laser cutter sparkles, and creativity runs free. A place where citizens can express themselves, and volunteers create exciting projects together. At Kildevæld Culture Center we are looking for you who wants to be at the forefront of the Workshop – both as a professional sparring partner and as the one who makes things happen.

About the job – you will be the glue in our workshop

You will be responsible for the workshop and the daily operations, and you shall

  • strengthen the environment for and the collaboration with the volunteers – you will be the one who ties the threads together, facilitates ideas and makes it easy for volunteers to express themselves and succeed
  • plan, coordinate and hold super-user meetings, workshops and open workshops – and ensure that everyone knows when and how we work together
  • check up on – and have overview of – maintenance and repair of the machine fleet, which mainly consists of 3D printers, laser cutters, vinyl cutters etc.
  • keep track of inventory, purchasing and budget as well as register workshop activities
  • be part of prioritising and facilitating workshop tasks, so we continually develop and get the most out of our machines and our community
  • generally create wellbeing and camaraderie through social activities and events for the volunteers as well as build a good relationship with the group

We have some concrete tasks waiting for you

  • Planning and coordination of the opening of our new woodworking workshop container in the spring
  • Coordination and execution of internal workshops – so all super-users feel at home with the machines
  • Setting up content for a glass display at Jagtvej Library, where we show the Workshop and Kildevæld at its best

You will also be part of the whole house, where you help out when needed. You will participate in daily routines, develop and execute events and lend a hand at larger events such as Østerbroweekend and Omkring Krudttønden.

Who are you?

  • You have hands-on skills and solid knowledge of digital fabrication technologies – you can confidently start up 3D printers, laser cutters and vinyl cutters and have experience from similar workshops
  • You understand the value of working with volunteers – and you can balance between leading, listening, inspiring and collaborating
  • You thrive on switching between hands-on tasks, coordination and building relationships
  • You want to help make Kildevæld Culture Center Workshop a place where everyone wants to create, contribute and be part of the community
