Kitchen assistant with a passion for food for children - qualified or unqualified with experience

Are you passionate about making good, healthy and organic food – and would you like to help create joy of food for children? Then you might be the one we need in our kitchen.

We are a children's house with about 65 fantastic children, who every day enjoy the aroma from the kitchen, follow the cooking with curiosity and eat with great appetite.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a kitchen assistant – preferably a trained nutrition assistant/cook, but we also very much welcome you if you are not qualified but have experience with cooking and a strong interest in the field.

The most important for us is that you

• have experience cooking for many
• are passionate about healthy, varied and tasty food
• want to work with organic and minimize food waste
• can work independently and maintain an overview
• focus on hygiene and structure in the kitchen
• thrive in a house with children and want to be part of daily life

Your tasks

You will be responsible for the daily operation of the kitchen, including

• Preparation of meals for children aged 0–6 years
• Planning varied and healthy meal plans
• Purchasing and receiving goods
• Preparation of lunch boxes for outings
• Participation in events in the house
• Cleaning and hygiene in the kitchen
• Internal control
• Adherence to the budget

You will be alone in the kitchen on a daily basis, but with good collaborators around you.

Collaboration and everyday life

You will become part of a house where collaboration is highly valued. You will work closely with the pedagogical staff and have the opportunity to involve the children in cooking where it makes sense.

In addition you will be part of an interdisciplinary kitchen network in the Søborg area, where you can brainstorm with colleagues and gain inspiration.

About us

The Children's House Stationsparken is part of Gladsaxe Municipality and is located in Søborg (Vadbro 37), close to Buddinge and Kildebakke Station.

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable agreement.

Employment

• 32–35 hours per week
• Working hours approx. 7:00–14:00/14:30
