India Spice is a passionate Indian restaurant and catering kitchen with a deep love for rich flavors, authentic spices, and traditional culinary craftsmanship.

We are best known for our vibrant North and South Indian specialties, aromatic curries, andtandoor dishes, but most importantly, we believe in making authentic food from scratch,using fresh, high-quality ingredients and taking pride in the tradition behind everything we serve.

Currently, our operations cover our busy restaurant service, takeaway, and event catering, and we are looking for the right person to take responsibility for the day-to-day organization and operational flow of our kitchen.

About the position

As our Kitchen Manager, you will play a central role in keeping the kitchen structured, efficient, and running smoothly across daily prep, restaurant service, and catering orders.

Key Responsibilities

• Overall coordination and operational organization of the kitchen
• Maintaining strict hygiene and food safety standards according to Danish Fødevarestyrelsen regulations
• Staff scheduling and daily task delegation for kitchen and prep staff
• Overseeing kitchen maintenance, ensuring equipment, tandoors, and workstations remain clean and in peak condition
• Purchasing, ordering ingredients, spices, packaging, and operational supplies
• Inventory management and stock control to ensure availability for high-volume weekends and large catering orders
• Establishing clear prep routines, portion control, and workflow improvements as our catering demands expand
• Collaborating closely with our chefs and front-of-house team to ensure consistent food quality and punctual service

Qualifications & Qualities

• Experience working in a professional kitchen, catering operation, or food production environment is an advantage, but having the right mindset is what matters most.
• You are structured, dependable, and punctual, with natural ownership over your responsibilities.
• You are proactive, notice details quickly, and thrive when bringing order and smooth routines to a fast-paced environment.
• You communicate clearly and comfortably in English (Danish is a plus, but not required).

• Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week)
• Location: Søborg Hovedgade 118, 2860 Søborg
• Salary: Competitive, based on qualifications and experience
• Start Date: As soon as possible / By agreement
