About the job

Do you want to help build a new team in Vallensbæk Municipality and create direction, cohesion and good collaboration on digital security?

We are seeking a coordinator who can bring together different professional disciplines, create an overview and translate complex requirements into solutions that work in everyday life. You will have the professional responsibility for our newly established Digital Security team and the opportunity to shape both tasks, workflows and collaboration culture from the start.

Become part of our Digital Security team

To strengthen the municipality's digital security, we are establishing a team of five in total: three employees who are already part of IT and Digitisation, and two new colleagues - you as coordinator and an employee focusing on NIS2.

The three current employees focus primarily on user management, GDPR and the system ownership for a number of the municipality's IT solutions. The areas are well run and rest on a solid professional foundation, and you will help build on the good work. At the same time, the GDPR effort should be strengthened as part of the team's continued development.

The team's areas of responsibility include identity and access management (IAM), GDPR, NIS2, cyber security, governance, risk and compliance management (GRC), ISO 27001 as well as IT preparedness. The team also handles security and compliance tasks in the municipality's use of AI, including assessment of security risks and advice on relevant requirements in the EU AI Regulation (AI Act), in close collaboration with the Digitisation Team.

The team also has the system ownership for a number of the municipality's central IT solutions, including the ESDH system Formpipe Acadre, DynamicTemplate, Sense Information, etc.

You will have professional responsibility across the areas and must ensure coherence, progress and professional development in close collaboration with your colleagues. You report to the IT manager, who has the personnel responsibility. You will work closely with them on priorities, frameworks and the team’s well-being.

Your focus is to set professional direction, coordinate the tasks and create good collaboration and well-being in the team. You must also translate requirements into practice and ensure that policies, procedures and workflows are anchored in the municipality's daily life. The technical parts of information and cyber security are handled by other disciplines, which you work closely with. You do not need to be a specialist in all areas, but you must have the desire and ability to understand them and make them fit together.

Your primary tasks

  • Set the professional direction and coordinate the team’s tasks in dialogue with colleagues and the IT manager.
  • Provide an overview of activities, deliverables and deadlines, and follow up constructively internally in the team and across the municipality.
  • Prepare and revise policies, procedures and documentation within the team's areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain and further develop the municipality's ISMS (Information Security Management System).
  • Translate requirements into concrete, usable workflows and support their anchoring in the organization.
  • Prepare meetings, status materials, decision proposals and project documentation.
  • Create room for professional sparring and knowledge sharing and contribute to a safe collaboration where colleagues can raise questions and challenges.
  • You will both keep track of what needs to happen and be involved in getting it done.

You will fit well with us if you

  • Have a professional background that could be in GDPR, NIS2 or cybersecurity. Perhaps you are a project manager or have experience coordinating tasks where outcomes depend on good collaboration and followership from others.
  • Are a good people person who listens, understands different perspectives and adapts your communication to those you collaborate with.
  • Can build trust and followership through professionalism, dialogue and clear agreements.
  • Have a sense for colleagues' well-being.
  • Work in a structured way, create overview and follow up tasks to completion without losing sight of the people behind them.
  • Express yourself clearly and precisely in writing and can translate rules and requirements into understandable, practical solutions.
  • Are curious about other professional disciplines and thrives with a broad contact surface to colleagues and managers.
  • Contribute with good humor and a positive, helpful approach to collaboration with colleagues.

For us it is important that you want both the task and the community. You contribute to a daily life where we help each other, can speak openly and enjoy being together.

What we offer you

  • A central role with professional responsibility and the opportunity to shape a newly established team.
  • A close collaboration with the IT manager and engaged colleagues with different professional backgrounds.
  • Good opportunities for professional development and further education.
  • Flexible working conditions with flex time and the possibility of working from home when tasks allow.
  • An informal working environment with short decision-making processes, freedom with responsibility and room for good humor.

We place a high priority on a good working environment. We help each other, share our knowledge and emphasize good cooperation in everyday life. We also make an effort to meet socially at events such as board games, mini golf, climbing park and yoga. We are looking for a colleague who wants to engage in the community and contribute to everyone feeling welcome.

Who are we

You will become part of the Center for Properties, Projects and IT (EPI), which is responsible for development and operation of the municipality's properties, the Projects Unit, IT and digitisation. EPI consists of 31 employees at the Town Hall and 14 technical service staff distributed across the municipality's institutions.

We work closely together, share our knowledge and find solutions in collaboration. There is not much distance from idea to action, and you will have a broad contact surface across the municipality.

The practical

The position is 37 hours per week, including a lunch break.

Employment is in accordance with the current collective agreement between the KL and the bargaining-empowered organization. Salary is determined based on your qualifications and experience. You will be informed of the expected salary level for the position before a potential second interview.

The workplace is Vallensbæk Town Hall, Vallensbæk Station Square 100, 2665 Vallensbæk Strand.

Application deadline: 6 November 2026

Interviews: week 47

Start: 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible.

If you want to know more about the position, you are welcome to contact the IT manager Johnny Schnegelsberg-Laursen at [email protected] or phone 27 27 48 88.
