Teacher for Sinding School's special program

We are seeking a teacher for Sinding school's special provision Kahytten, 0.-6. grade, 37 hours per week, starting 01 November 2026 or as soon as possible. Kahytten is based in the school's former headteacher's house. Sinding School is an inclusive and spacious rural village school, located 8 km north of Herning.

The children group comprises cognitively normally gifted children aged 6-13 years. The children come from very different backgrounds and have very different challenges, but what they all have in common is that they face challenges in relationships and emotional regulation. There are thus both children with and without diagnoses, or with mixed diagnoses.

Our pedagogical work is, among other things, to work together with the child and their family to create a new positive narrative with new coping strategies, which can form the framework for a new beginning on several levels. We work purposefully to create a safe everyday life with a good childhood, so that the children can experience joy of life. One of the most important focus points is therefore good experiences with the feeling of succeeding in a community and having value as the person you are.

In our work with the child we focus on possibilities, relationships and wholes.

Children are taught in Danish, mathematics, physical education/swimming, English and in 6th grade German. The other subjects are in the module interdisciplinary, where for shorter or longer periods work is done on a topic, where the subjects contribute from their respective angles. In interdisciplinary work there is both practical, musical and academic work. The teaching in the subjects takes its starting point in each child’s prerequisites, both academically and personally.

It is important that the children experience success in school. Kahytten's children this school year are divided into two groups during parts of the day with a teacher in each group.

You will this school year be classroom leader for 4 of the boys in close collaboration with an educator and an occupational therapist. In the coming school year the group composition will be looked at again. The two groups of children have many common activities both on a daily basis and for events during the year. You must therefore be willing to have close collaboration with the team’s other teacher.

• You must be a skilled classroom manager
• You must be interested in working cross-disciplinary
• You must believe that parents are important in our work
• You must want to be part of an exciting and close team collaboration
• You must be emotionally robust and adaptable
• It would be an advantage if you can teach reading and spelling acquisition and possibly beginner English
• You must enjoy outdoor life
• You must enjoy being physically active
