About the job

Would you like to use your legal expertise to make a concrete difference for social workers nationwide from our office in Odense? Dansk Socialrådgiverforening seeks a legal consultant who thrives on member advisory, negotiation and employment law issues. You will have independent responsibility for your own cases, close contact with members and the opportunity to influence the development of an important professional area. Who are we looking for?

We are seeking an engaged consultant with legal competencies for the department ”Advice and Negotiation”. You must be a strong communicator – both orally and in writing – so you can provide targeted and competent advice and sparring to our members. You should enjoy working independently and be at a smaller workplace where we don't necessarily see each other every day. Much is handled from our base, yours is in Odense, but there will also be occasional physical negotiations across the country.

You will become part of a professionally strong team of 10 colleagues, who primarily handle the employment law cases for our members.

It is an advantage if you have experience with employment law issues, preferably from a professional association, employer organization or public authority.

You have a higher legal education e.g. cand.jur or cand.merc.(jur.) and you are able to apply the law and convey it clearly and unambiguously in concrete cases.

What are your tasks? The tasks will include

  • Advice and sparring with the association's publicly employed members
  • Handling of employment law cases, including dismissal cases
  • Negotiation with public employers
  • Prepare legal assessments
  • Contribute to the development of the department and the team

We expect you to be proactive, responsible and keen to contribute to developing the department's area of work. In addition, you must be able to work independently and with others, and you should thrive in an outward-facing role with daily contact with members across the country, colleagues and external partners.

What do we offer? We place emphasis on secure and stable frameworks around our work with flexible working hours and the possibility of remote work, so your work can be organized to fit your private life.

You will have great influence on your daily work just as you will have ample opportunity to develop and specialize professionally and personally through competence development, collaboration and your task solving. In addition, you will largely be able to help shape development, collaboration and task-solving in the department.

Salary and employment terms are attractive and set in our internal collective agreement with DJØF. This is a full-time position (36 hours per week including lunch break).

Who are we? Dansk Socialrådgiverforening is an ambitious trade union in rapid development. We have consolidated our administration into a common unit with a view to ensuring a strong value proposition within member service and guidance from the first member consultant, to local negotiations and to more complex bargaining tasks.

You will become part of a department where openness, knowledge sharing, collaboration, engagement and mutual respect are important values. The working environment is informal, the tone is friendly and free, and there is little delay from thought to action. From the start you will work very independently and have your own areas of responsibility – of course always with the possibility of sparring with your capable colleagues and manager.

Application Submit your application no later than Sunday 15 November 2026.

Recruitment interviews are expected to be held Monday 23 November 2026 at our office in Odense. A potential second interview is expected to be held on 26 November via Teams with the inclusion of a case.

If you have questions, you are welcome to contact chief legal officer Lotte Witt at tel. 24282489 or chief for Advice & Negotiation Rikke Rødekilde at tel. 40432321.
