About the job

In Herlev Municipality we are making a massive investment in the public school system and will invest 21 million DKK annually in the elementary schools from 2026. The funds go, among other things, to a two-teacher arrangement in Danish and mathematics, professional development, and more adults in after-school care (SFO) and the club. It gives you better conditions to run high-quality activities and to create strong relationships. And thereby make a difference for the children in school, SFO, and the club.

In addition, from this school year we have established local schools on each site with close and present leadership and a strong local community.

Do you want to help create the very best conditions for a fun and exciting club day in close collaboration with colleagues and management? Then you should read on here.

We are seeking a relationship-oriented pedagogue to Lindehøjskolen’s club.

About the school

Our school is an attractive school, consolidated on a single site. Lindehøjskolen is one of five public elementary schools in Herlev Municipality, and has about 900 pupils and around 110 staff. The school is a four-track school. At Lindehøjskolen we work from the idea that all children do the right thing if they can, and we continuously develop measures to support our visions of the children’s learning, well-being and formation.

We are well on our way to becoming good at working in professional learning communities. You will become part of the PLF in the club. PLF is a pedagogical learning community where you, in collaboration with your colleagues, develop your practice.

The school is divided into primary, lower secondary, and upper secondary. We have the after-school program on the school site and the club a few minutes’ walk away. Lindehøjskolen’s club is for children in grades 4-6. There are about 250 members. There are 8 pedagogues employed, of whom 3 are also school pedagogues.

About the position

We are seeking a contact pedagogue who welcomes the children when they arrive at the club, follows up with children who need help integrating into a community, and organizes community-building activities with the children.

We operate with activity divisions in the club. Each staff member has the task of creating fun, educational, community-building, and exciting activities for and in collaboration with the children. You will work closely with the club pedagogues, the teachers at the school, and the management. In the club your tasks will be in connection with the club’s opening hours Monday to Friday in the time period 12:45-17 and one evening until 20:00.

In addition you will have hours during school time in the middle grades. Your task as a school pedagogue includes, among other things, being the link between school and club, as well as helping and guiding the students so they feel part of the academic and social community during school and club time.

We are looking for

We are looking for you who

  • meet children and adults with curiosity, respect and warmth
  • can create safe relationships and frameworks where children thrive and develop

  • work from a constructive child perspective and see possibilities rather than limitations
  • thrive in close collaboration with both pedagogues and teachers
  • have ambitions – for the children, for yourself, and for the community

Whether you are newly educated or experienced is not the most important. The most important for us is not how many years you have worked – but that you have your heart in it and a desire to be an active part of the community.
