We are seeking a teacher for Next Step who will rebuild a love of school, believe in their own abilities and create new opportunities for young people with school absenteeism.

We are seeking a teacher in our special offering Next Step who, among other things, can teach Danish, who is passionate about education and formation, who has a good overview, a strong relationship-building profile and a fantastic ability to differentiate instruction.

Next Step is for students with challenges primarily related to school attendance, and in addition the students may have challenges with anxiety, attachment disorders, self-esteem issues and general stress reactions.

Next Step is a holistic offering with 8-10 students from 7th to 9th grade. We want our new colleague to have a strong interest in, professional experience with, or an education in special pedagogy.

We are looking for a teacher who

• is specialized in teaching students with special needs
• understands how to meet the students where they are
• can adapt and support the students in their academic development
• is engaged in collaboration around planning and creation of the best learning environments
• has a good overview, is clear, inclusive and acknowledging in the classroom
• has a good mood, a positive mindset, humor and warmth
• is engaged, structured, ambitious, curious and innovative
• is professional in relation to teaching, parent collaboration and collegial cooperation
• can work in an informal environment

Lundtofte School is one of Lyngby Taarsbæk Municipality's nine public schools with 500 sweet children, 70 capable staff, and an active School Board. The school is located close to green surroundings by Dyrehaven and near the new light rail – easy, green and accessible.

The position is full-time with 26 weekly teaching lessons.

Salary and terms of employment are arranged in agreement with the negotiating organization.
