Maternity leave substitute for FGU Nordvest - Thisted

FGU Nordvest is seeking a maternity-leave substitute for Thisted

Do you want to help make a difference for young people and become part of a strong professional community?

We are seeking an engaged maternity-leave substitute for our FGU department in Thisted with start as soon as possible.

The position is a fixed-term full-time position with employment until 31 August 2027, potentially with a possibility of extension.

The maternity-leave substitution includes teaching across several classes, including teaching in our AGU language and society, elective subjects, and supplementary teaching primarily in Danish. We are looking for a teacher who thrives in a varied day-to-day and is motivated by working with young people with different academic, social and personal prerequisites.

Part of the teaching will take place in our language group (AGU language and society), where students work on developing their Danish-language skills as a basis for further education and employment. Experience with Danish as a second language is therefore an advantage, but not a requirement. The most important is that you are curious about the target group and can design teaching that supports students' learning, participation and progression.

We are looking for a teacher who

• Is a teacher by education or has equivalent relevant qualifications.
• Has experience teaching Danish.
• Has an interest in language acquisition and preferably experience with Danish as a second language.
• Can build strong relationships with young people with different prerequisites.
• Is flexible and thrives in a daily life where adjustments are continually made.
• Works in a structured, independent and goal-oriented manner.
• Contributes positively to team collaboration and joint task solving.
• Meets both students and colleagues with respect, humor and recognition.
• Maintains overview and composure, even when daily life is busy.

We offer

• A meaningful daily life where you make a concrete difference for young people.
• A workplace characterized by integrity, trust, respect and humor.
• Skilled and engaged colleagues with different professional backgrounds.
• A strong professional community with focus on collaboration and sparring.
• Opportunity for both professional and personal development.
• A workplace where community and well-being are given high priority.
