Do you want to help strengthen special educational interventions for children and young people in South Greenland?

MISI Kujalleq is seeking an engaged MISI Consultant for employment from 1 December 2026 or by agreement, with MISI Kujalleq, Qaqortoq.

About MISI Kujalleq

MISI Kujalleq provides pedagogical-psychological counseling and special educational guidance in the Municipality of Kujalleq.

You will be part of a team of five employees consisting of

• Lead psychologist at the schools
• Psychologist
• MIS staff member
• MISI consultant
• Office assistant

In the position you will report to the lead psychologist at the schools.

Responsibilities

Your duties will include, among other things

• To advise schools and day care centres on special education as well as pedagogical special interventions.
• In cooperation with psychologists and consultants in special education to carry out pedagogical assessments, follow-ups and discussions regarding children and pupils with special needs, including evaluations, preparation of reports and recommendations.
• To advise and provide sparring with parents, teachers and pedagogues on the well-being, development and learning of children and young people.
• To participate in development, planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration within the field of special education.

Travel to the municipality's towns and villages can be expected.

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications

• Is educated as a speech-language pathologist or similar
• Has experience with special education and with children with special needs.
• Can work independently and at the same time engage constructively in collaboration with others.
• Has an appreciative approach to other people.
• Contributes actively to a good working environment.
• If possible, speaks both Greenlandic and Danish.

Qualifications

We expect you to have a relevant pedagogical or teaching education, for example as a teacher, educator or similar, as well as continuing education or higher education in special education, inclusion, learning and/or communication.

Salary and terms of employment

Other collective agreements may be used depending on IMAK's collective agreement or the applicant's education and qualifications.

For newcomers, housing may be offered according to applicable rules. Temporary accommodation can be expected.

In connection with the employment, travel to the workplace is paid, and moving of belongings is covered according to applicable rules.

Background check for working with children

The position is covered by the legislation on obtaining a background check for working with children.
