Night shift needed for specialized dementia care

About us

Plejehjemmet Valdemarsgade is a specialized offering for residents with dementia. We have 31 permanent places and one respite place. Of these, three places are particularly sheltered, and we are in the process of developing a further nine specially sheltered places for residents with complex needs.

We work from a person-centered approach, where residents' life stories, wishes and needs are the focal point of our efforts. The nursing home is arranged in small units, contributing to safe and home-like surroundings.

You will become part of a multidisciplinary team, where professionalism, collaboration and respect for the individual resident are fundamental values.

About the position

As a night shift worker, you have an important role in ensuring calm, safety and high professional quality through the night. You work closely with your colleagues and contribute to residents experiencing presence, care and dignity around the clock.

Your tasks will include

• Provide care and assistance based on the individual resident's needs
• Create safety and structure through the night
• Observe and document changes in residents' condition
• Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines
• Contribute to a good working environment with a focus on professionalism and well-being

We are looking for a colleague who

• Is educated as a Social and Health Care Helper (SSH) or Social and Health Care Assistant (SSA)
• Has an interest in, or experience with, residents with dementia
• Can work independently and at the same time engage in close collaboration with colleagues
• Is caring, responsible and professionally curious
• Contributes positively to the community and the good working environment

Practical information

• The position is 37 hours per week or as agreed
• This is a temporary position – possibly with the possibility of permanent employment thereafter
• Weekend shift every other weekend
• Start date: As soon as possible
• Salary and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement
