About the job
Would you like to be part of a meaningful everyday life, where we help businesses, citizens and our own organization navigate and comply with sometimes complex environmental legislation? Are you passionate about contributing to a sustainable future and protecting the environment? Can you deliver professionally solid decisions in good dialogue with colleagues, partners and politicians? Can you also work in a structured way and maintain an overview in a busy everyday life, while ensuring that your tasks are completed on time and with the right quality? Then we need you.
About the job and tasks
In the Department of Nature & Water we solve a wide range of regulatory tasks within wastewater, nature, groundwater and watercourses. Right now we especially need to strengthen our wastewater competencies. We are therefore looking for a colleague who can work with tasks within the rain- and wastewater area.
We are looking for an experienced case handler for a permanent position, where we imagine that you have skills within regulatory tasks in the wastewater area.
You will become part of a dynamic group where we collaborate on the tasks by supporting and inspiring each other to reach our goals. We focus on the task and on collaboration, and we actively work with our objectives, which we continuously monitor and adjust as needed. We collaborate and help each other.
Your daily life in the group will at times be unpredictable; but also with routine tasks. You should expect that your professional expertise will come into play, and you should be ready to continuously acquaint yourself with new problems. You will work with a range of tasks within the wastewater area, e.g. connection and discharge permits, EIA screenings, orders/compulsory measures, inspections and related case handling.
In addition, you will need to contribute professional input to the organization and participate in cross-disciplinary collaborations. You will become part of a larger working community where we need each other and are willing to make our competencies and experiences available to one another.
Our expectations of you
The ideal candidate has experience within the wastewater area from a municipality, state or consulting industry. You have knowledge of and a basic understanding of issues in the nature and environmental field as well as knowledge of special legislation in the wastewater area.
We are looking for someone who is constructive and solution-oriented and understands that the whole is important, also when you collaborate with colleagues from other regulatory areas and with external partners. You ensure the necessary documentation in the case processing and thrive on working in a structured and meticulous way – with respect for deadlines.
You thrive with working in professional systems such as document management systems, GIS and the PULS database, and you feel at home in the most common systems such as the Office suite. You are also digitally proactive and can find relevant information on different platforms in connection with case processing.
We imagine that you are an engineer, environmental technologist, chemist, biologist or have a similar background. Experience with the tasks can, however, be just as important as your educational background, and we would like you to describe how your competencies can be brought into play.
The good colleague
In Nature & Water our fundamental approach is to deliver high professional quality through good collaboration. Therefore you are a team player who can collaborate across the organization and with many different professional fields, which you have just as much respect for as your own.
A good colleague is structured and flexible and capable of completing tasks and moving on. You are good at finding and proposing alternative solutions if necessary to succeed with the task.
You are passionate about the task – and you find it fun to go to work.
