About the job

  • We are implementing new initiatives and crisis-package pathways for patients – and therefore we are looking for you, who want to be part of the development together with us. We are seeking a nurse or a social- and healthcare assistant, who thrives with pace, complexity and unpredictability – and who at the same time is passionate about creating hope, calm and direction for people when life feels most chaotic.

A bit about us

We are a department with both new and experienced staff, who share the common goal of our core task – to create the best possible treatment, care and support for our patients.

We are proud of our professionalism and place great emphasis on both well-being, work joy and a good collegial community. In our daily work we focus on delivering high-quality nursing and care based on each patient’s needs. We also emphasize close collaboration with the patient’s relatives and network.

With us you become part of a staff group where we look after each other, help each other and contribute to a safe and respectful working environment. Respect is a fundamental value for us – both in our meeting with the patient and in our collaboration with colleagues.

We prioritise professional development and create opportunities for ongoing competence development and continuing education, so you have the opportunity to develop professionally and personally.

Acute Psychiatry

PAM (psychiatric emergency reception) has the receiving function for acute psychiatric admissions, for both adults, children and adolescents. We have annually about 6,000 inquiries and work cross-disciplinary at a high professional level, where patients are received, assessed, treated, discharged or referred to the other wards.

The inquiries may be due to depression, mania, acute crisis, addiction, suicidal thoughts, psychosis, anxiety, etc. In addition to the receiving function, PAM consists of 12 acute beds. We are in the process of implementing crisis-package pathways, where the target group is patients in crisis, often with self-harm and/or suicidal ideation, who need a short stabilising stay in the psychiatric emergency reception (PAM). The goal is to ensure safety while the patient regains their own emotion regulation.

The current crisis is stabilised so that the patient can resume outpatient treatment and/or follow-up with their GP and municipality.

All staff in PAM are part of the crisis and disaster response in the Zealand Region.

We are looking for you

You should be a graduated nurse or a social- and healthcare assistant – with an interest in the psychiatric specialty. Your personality reflects high professionalism and you want to contribute to the development of psychiatric nursing – with us . You want to actively contribute to a good working environment, thrive in an interdisciplinary collaboration and be professionally reflective.
