As an apprentice you will work with

• Production of meals in large portions
• Production of dieters, e.g. for small eaters, patients with food allergies, patients needing chew/swallow-friendly meals.

As an apprentice you will also be offered

• Training in Regionshuset's canteen, where you will gain experience with baking, creative plating and sustainability
• Apprentice supervisors who are always ready to help you
• Community with other nutrition assistant apprentices
• Professional and social theme days for the apprentices in the Region across the kitchens
• Apprentice coffee about once a month, where we have time to talk about big and small things

Working hours

Your working time is 37 hours per week with working hours between 06:06 – 17:00.

There will be early shifts, holiday shifts and weekend shifts.

Entry requirements

• In progress with Grundforløb 2
• Currently in school-based training as a nutrition assistant apprentice
• Willing to start in New Master Apprenticeship

Educational agreement

We can offer different types of educational agreements

• Ordinary training agreement (EUD)
• Adult apprentice (EUV) (If you are over 25 years old, you must have completed a recognition of prior learning and an education plan with a study counselor at a vocational school)
• New Master Apprenticeship
• EUX

Application deadline

There is an application deadline on 29 October 2026 and it is expected that the interviews will be held on 2 November.

The education program

The education lasts 2½-3 years, distributed over 3 or 4 practical periods and 3 school periods.

The last school period ends with the " Journeyman Exam for Nutrition Assistants ".

There is a three-month trial period for the nutrition assistant education. The trial period takes effect on the first day the apprentice is in training on the main program. School periods that occur before the first training do not count toward the trial period.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the current collective agreement between Danish Regions and the Diet & Nutrition Association.
