As an occupational therapist you will be a central part of our multidisciplinary team and you will have an important role in developing the rehabilitative efforts at the nursing home.

About the position

As an occupational therapist you will be an important professional resource in the house. You will become part of the daily operation and will work closely with our physiotherapist, nurses, nutrition assistants and social and health care staff.

The position includes both independent tasks and tasks that are solved in close collaboration with the rest of the team.

Your tasks will include, among others

• occupational therapy assessments and evaluations,
• retraining under the Health Act §140,
• retraining under the Social Services Act §86.1,
• maintenance training under the Social Services Act §86.2,
• dysphagia screening at a basic level,
• assessment of transfers and working positions,
• assessment, ordering, adaptation and cancellation of assistive devices,
• care pathway responsibility for new residents and ensuring a good and secure settlement,
• care pathway responsibility for complex citizen pathways,
• ongoing re-evaluation of training needs and rehabilitation potential,
• teaching of new employees as part of the introductory program,
• professional sparring and guidance of staff regarding rehabilitation, assistive devices and transfers,
• planning and implementation of activities that strengthen quality of life and community,
• responsible for alerting devices,
• active participation in daily care and assistance, where you daily take part in care for a resident.

Please note that the position is within the around-the-clock area. At present, the service is expected to be primarily day shifts. There will be a weekly late shift until 16:30, so you will meet both late shift teams.

Candidate profile

• is a licensed occupational therapist,
• wants to work with older people – experience is an advantage but not a requirement,
• is passionate about rehabilitation and wishes to develop the occupational therapy service,
• thrives in interdisciplinary collaboration and actively contributes to common solutions,
• works independently and takes responsibility,
• has an interest in or experience with person-centred care,
• is adaptable and thrives in a daily life where plans can change,
• can motivate and inspire colleagues through your professional expertise,
• has good collaboration and communication skills,
• has knowledge of Cura and dysphagia – or a desire to learn it.

About Plejehjem Vidtskuevej 6

Plejehjem Vidtskuevej 6 is located in Viby J, near Fredenskirken. There are 36 apartments spread over 3 floors, and each floor has a large, spacious balcony, and at the end of the building there is a sunny terrace with beautiful planting. A pedestrian bridge connects Plejehjem Vidtskuevej with Lokalcenter Rosenvang, which includes a training hall. Welfare technology aids are a natural part of everyday life, as is our focus on the good everyday life for each resident.

We create the framework for communities, neighborliness and meaningful activities, where singing, music, outdoor life and wellness are a regular part of daily life. 2A runs right to the door, and there is free parking at the nursing home.

Salary and terms of employment

The position is hoped to be filled by 1 January 2027.

Salary and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement and after concrete negotiations with the recognised trade union organization.

Weekly working hours: 37 hours.
