About the job

Do you want to help create a safe and meaningful start to life?

Can you genuinely get excited about a worm, sing the same song five times in a row and stay calm when three little people want the same shovel?

And do you know that some of the most important moments in a child's daily life arise in the ordinary — in play, in care, in the look, and in the adult who has time to stay a little longer?

Then you might be our new educator in the nursery Guldklumpen.

We are looking for a trained educator who is passionate about working with the youngest children, and who wants to become part of a small, engaged community where presence, professionalism and good relationships are the foundation of everyday life.

A small house in a big community

Guldklumpen is located in the scenic Guldbæk south of Aalborg and is part of Guldbæk Friskole, which also houses a kindergarten.

One of the special things about our place is the community across the nursery, kindergarten and the free school. Here, the big and the small know each other, and the children have the opportunity to grow up in safe, recognizable frames with relationships that reach beyond their own group of children.

A small team with room for professionalism and togetherness

In Guldklumpen you will be part of a small team of three educators and a teaching assistant. We know each other well, work closely together and help each other — both when everyday life runs smoothly, and when it requires a little extra from us.

We value professional reflections, share our experiences and dare to ask questions about our own practice. We believe that we become better together.

As our new colleague you will have the opportunity to bring your ideas and professional perspectives into play and help shape the everyday life we create for the children. And we place emphasis on a work environment where we take care of each other, have room for differences and can also laugh together.

We are curious about the child behind the behavior

Therefore we work with a relational and resource-oriented view of children, where we try to understand the child’s perspective and adapt our own approach to what the child needs. Our pedagogical practice is among other things inspired by Ross Greene’s approach to children’s challenging behavior, the Care Approach from Børns Vilkår and the Circle of Security.

A daily life with play, presence and room for the children’s initiatives

We are especially fond of

  • Gatherings with singing, music and movement , where we create joy, presence and shared experiences.
  • Play and curiosity , where we follow the children’s initiatives and seize the small learning moments that arise along the way.
  • The nature around us , where we go exploring on the playground and in our lovely local area.
  • Close relationships , where care, safety and the feeling of belonging are a natural part of everyday life.
  • Close collaboration with parents , where daily dialogue, trust and mutual respect matter greatly.

Who are you?

We are looking for a trained educator who enjoys working with the 0-3-year-olds, and who wants to be an important adult in the children’s first years.

We hope that you

  • Meet children with warmth, patience and genuine curiosity about their perspectives.
  • Are professionally engaged and want to reflect on and develop the pedagogical practice together with us.
  • Can create safe relationships and meet each child with attention to their needs and possibilities.
  • Want to be part of a small team where we take responsibility, help each other and contribute with different strengths.

You don’t need to have answers to everything. The most important is that you are curious, engaged and want to become wiser together with us. And it certainly isn’t a problem if you also have humor and can laugh when everyday life takes an unexpected turn.

The position is 30-37 hours per week with a start date of February 1, 2027.
