Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator (B) with practical experience sought for Esbjerg Power Plant

Would you like to help ensure the occupational safety on Denmark's largest demolition project? We are seeking an experienced and practical profile for the role of Occupational Safety Coordinator – Construction Site (AMK-B) at Esbjerg Power Plant. You have a craftsman or technical background and know how a construction and demolition site works in reality. You will become a central part of a strong team and have great influence on safety, health and the work environment in a complex project with many stakeholders.

About the project

Demolition of a power and heat plant and associated facilities at Esbjerg Harbour. The task includes dismantling large industrial facilities, heavy constructions and complex work processes.

It's a project where occupational safety is not something we just talk about – it's something we do every day.

The project runs until early 2028, after which you will join new exciting projects in the organization.

Your primary tasks

• Be visible and present on site – close to the work and the people
• Coordinate the safety effort and planning in collaboration with the construction management
• Hold safety meetings and safety inductions
• Conduct daily walk-throughs and ensure follow-up on safety, incidents and observations
• Ensure that the PSS is updated and adhered to in practice
• Work systematically with risk assessments, including the APV and relevant analyses (e.g. HAZOP)
• Assist in the work with work permits and work descriptions
• Participate in meetings focused on health and safety

Your profile

• You have a craftsman or technical background – e.g., from construction, demolition or industry
• You have solid experience from construction sites – preferably from the demolition industry and/or power plants
• You have experience with occupational safety work and must be AMK-B
• You are familiar with risk assessments and work in complex and high-risk environments
• You are practically minded and solution-oriented – you make things happen
• You are clear in your communication and willing to take the dialogue on the site
• You speak and write Danish and can operate in English
