About the job

Would you like to create more independence in citizens' daily lives? Become an occupational therapist in Lokalteam Lerbæk Torv

Are you passionate about translating your occupational therapy clinical knowledge into solutions that can be felt in citizens' daily lives? With us you get the opportunity to work closely with citizens, bring your ideas into play, and become an important part of a strong interdisciplinary (multidisciplinary) community.

In Køge Municipality's Home Care and Nursing, we help citizens maintain an active, meaningful and independent life for as long as possible. As an occupational therapist you will be a central part of the effort. You will have a varied workday with professional responsibility, freedom to plan and close collaboration with both citizens, relatives and colleagues.

You meet citizens where everyday life is lived, and together you find solutions that strengthen their possibilities, quality of life and participation in daily activities.

A everyday life with professionalism, relationships and visible results

In Lokalteam Lerbæk Torv you will become a key person in a self-managed, multidisciplinary team. Together with your colleagues you create cohesive pathways where the citizen's goals and what provides meaning in daily life set the direction.

You will among other things

  • ADL assessments and rehabilitative interventions in the citizen's own home
  • Disorder-specific assessments, training and guidance
  • Planning, initiation and follow-up on rehabilitation processes
  • Training under the Health Act as well as the Older People Act and the Service Act
  • Citizen involvement, motivation and goal-setting work
  • Testing and adjustment of temporary assistive devices
  • Interdisciplinary sparring and participation in relevant meetings
  • Participation in professional networks with other therapists in the municipality
  • On-the-job training for colleagues and support of the rehabilitative approach in the team

You work closely with the local team’s physiotherapist and take on a special role in strengthening the rehabilitative effort. Through citizen contact, professional sparring and peer learning you help translate occupational therapy knowledge into action across the team. We are curious about your perspectives and give space for you to influence the development of our shared rehabilitative approach.

A strong community around the citizen

We are part of the Home Care and Nursing in Køge Municipality and organized into eight local teams. In Lerbæk Torv you will be met by colleagues who share knowledge, help each other and have a sense that good solutions are created together.

Here occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, assessors and social and health workers work closely together. We bring our different professionalities into play so that the citizen experiences a holistic and cohesive pathway.

At the same time you become part of a strong therapeutic professional community across local teams and the Health Center. Here there are good opportunities for sparring, networking and joint professional development. In daily work you report to the local team’s team leader, while the therapeutic professional team leader supports quality, coordination and development across the municipality.

What you can look forward to

  • An engaged and professionally strong multidisciplinary team with high well-being
  • A high degree of influence and responsibility in everyday life
  • A work environment characterized by trust, collaboration and development
  • Good opportunities for professional sparring with therapy colleagues across local teams
  • An workplace where new ideas and professional perspectives are valued
  • Opportunity to help develop the future rehabilitative effort in the municipality

Are you our new colleague?

You are trained as an occupational therapist and want to use your professional skills close to citizens' daily lives. Experience with rehabilitation and interdisciplinary collaboration is an advantage, but not a requirement. The most important is that you are curious, relation-building and have the courage to learn and contribute.

  • You thrive with both independent responsibility and close teamwork
  • You build good relationships and meet citizens, relatives and colleagues with openness, curiosity and respect
  • You are professionally engaged and motivated to make a concrete difference
  • You actively contribute to collaboration, development and common solutions across professional groups
