Østerhåbskolen is seeking two Danish teachers for longer maternity leave coverage

If you can say yes to the above, you may be the one of two new teachers we need for maternity cover in our department in Hatting. Both positions run at least until 30 June 2027.

• Position 1: Danish + other smaller subjects in 1st grade. If you have competencies in English at the intermediate level, we could also bring this into play.

Employment from 9 November 2026.

• Position 2: Danish + English in 4th grade. If you have competencies in German in year 6, we could also bring that into play.

Employment from 1 January 2027

This close collaboration greatly contributes to joint planning, implementation and evaluation of teaching.

Østerhåbskolen is located in the southern part of Horsens. We work with departmental division, and the school has four departments. The departments in Torsted are divided into early years, middle years and upper grades, and in addition there are early years and middle years in the Hatting department.

Teamwork is in focus to be able to lift the school’s task in a qualified way. Work is carried out in all teams continuously and with fixed goals for the team’s work. We are organised so that the individual teams have great flexibility in relation to working qualified with the core task: the students’ learning and well-being.

All of the school’s departments are located in an active local area with an engaged parent body. The school has about 1450 wonderful students and an after-school care (SFO) both in Hatting and Torsted with room for about 500 children. The school’s competent staff consists of about 140 dedicated people.
